There won't be much tuning happening until Innosilicon decide to open source the cgminer driver or someone makes his own driver.

Well if you are out of jobs you could start tweaking GAWMiners source when they release it (was supposed to happen today or so)  Grin

Current interface on the A2 needs a lot of help this is where the dev community will come in. We should try and port some other existing mining platforms over and adapt it for the A2 chips

Anyone have any tips on how to control the clock speeds? Firmware 2014-05-21 includes 1000MHz, 1200MHz, and 1280MHz. I'd like to try higher.

Is anyone else having difficulties with one or two blades going dead when switching pools?

I get the last version of the firmware, but when I install it and run the miner, nothing happen. I am able to ssh into the miner, but nothing else, no mining or no HTTP interface access...

I am sure I miss something !

Is anyone else having difficulties with one or two blades going dead when switching pools?

Code:
sudo ./cgminer -o stratum+tcp://pool:3333 -u worker.1 -p x --A1Pll1 1200 --A1Pll2 1200 --A1Pll3 1200 --A1Pll4 1200 --A1Pll5 1200 --A1Pll6 1200 --diff 8 --cs 8 --stmcu 0 --hwreset --no-submit-stale
just try out different clock speeds? and start it in ssh?

Does anyone have an issue where the miner turns off for no apparent reason?

It happened 2 times in 2 days, before that it was running for a bunch of days no problem.

The OS was just updated to the new changeable 3 clock speeds recently as well.

It was also noted that it would drop down to 64Mh/s or so, meaning one or two blades went out for no apparent reason, when restarting it by powering off then on, it comes bak up to full speed at 90MH/s

Is there an automatic temp cutoff somewhre? or what is the max temp it can run at?

Any ideas?

thanks!

Well I'm dr. spock I'm here to rock y'all

Any chance you could split this thread into two? The altcoin mining support stuff really doesn't belong here.

Developer/maintainer for cgminer, ckpool/ckproxy, and the -ck kernel

It's more a manufacturer support thread .. in this case for Innosilicon ... gathering at the moment the information for the A1 Booster ... from innosilicon ...

the A1 + A2 use the same cgminer with small changes ... and have the same hardware layout ... it's more or less the same ... concerning support/tuning ...

Not agree with you.
Power consumption  is less than 750W/miner, sometime Under 700W. I use a Wattmeter plug between the PSU of the miner and the wall.

This miner is really good on this point.

The products of Innosilicon A1 and A2 consists of modules with each 8 chips on it.

the 140MH miner would just have 6 (84mh) + 4 (56mh) modules ...
