I surely hope you'll be fixing the total cluster that is your website soon. No payouts on blocks, and general F'd up stuff.

Thanks

Nearly 9 hours of problems but negative hush I have not seen for 3months now that am mining with Ghash.
Will there be any compensation as it seems no payout for 5 blocks
Even if you use Bitcoin through Tor, the way transactions are handled by the network makes anonymity difficult to achieve. Do not expect your transactions to be anonymous unless you really know what you're doing.

Can't wait for Scrypt cloud hashing...with all this Altcoins...  Grin

Question:

Can we mine the coins of our choice with "Scrypt cloud hashing" (in GHash pool of course ^^) ?

Is there a layman's way of explaining what Scrypt mining is? I wanted to explain to my Dad, but I can't even come up with a reasonable way to say it. Probably because I don't know enough about it myself.

Lol... You've been a bitcoiner since 2012...
Look. Here is how mining works.
Miner take the transactions, bundle them, simplify them. That's data A.
Data B is the hash of the previous block.
Data C is a completely random part of data.
A + B + C = Hash.

That's how I explain it to people, even though it's not that correct.

Well, I know what's going on but trying to explain it to a family member is quite hard sometimes. So I was looking for a way that other people would say it. I just tell him it is a big calculator that makes a little money, then the 20 questions.

All, our sincere apologies for the past few hours of server issues at GHash.IO.
We hate downtime as much as you guys do, our team have been working hard to resolve and get the servers stable and correctly operational.

We are currently going back over server logs regarding blocks that have gone through but show no reward paid out and will advise all on that.
As usual users of cloud GHS will be recompensed.

Anyone with specific payout or connection issues please contact support directly via the website or support@cex.io
Thanks again for you patience.

Thanks, just got my Ants back and running on UK server, I've been overclocking their butts so they enjoyed the rest, more than me Smiley Have some blocks gone through also with no payout.

Stats "seem" to be better the last few shifts.  Is it Safe to switch back to GHash.io now?  Are you guys seeing payouts for the anticipated amounts again?

I may just wait 12-24 hours after it settles before I switch back....

All seems stable and normal, 17 blocks gone through paying out correctly.

This place is a sham. Missing payouts are still happening to this minute. I've contacted supported and they keep telling me they will increase my cloud plan to compensate for the missing payments and I keep telling them I DO NO CLOUD HOST WITH YOU. They just don't understand what I'm trying to tell them, even with the screen shots I've shown them. They're basically not paying miners randomly and taking the coin for themselves. Here is another screen shot from 2 minutes ago. This will be a cluser fck for miners trying to get their rewards. When I looked at my balance I was wondering why it was so low. It's so slow because Ghash isn't paying me my reward to mine there!!! Again, back and forth with support with no solution in site for a long time on this one. So basically the last 4 days Ghash has randomly stopped paying my reward for mining there. How I could ever figure out 4 days worth of random non payments is, well, would be impossible for me. Jumping ship from this place, not paying miners and letting it go for more then a day is bad enough, but 4 days and still happening? I wonder how many bitcoin they have made from this little scam?

The blocks you show are the same everyone has missing payment on from a few hours ago during this server downtime. GHash statement acknowledged there is an issue there which they will address.
Also it is easy for you to download CSV file of your payouts from the CEX site by each block to see the problem ones.
Sure you are frustrated, I am too that servers have been crazy, but to scream sham and accuse them of stealing BTC when they have acknowledged the problem is just wrong.
Download your CSV, track the problem blocks talk to ghash.

Working for a international group and when you dont want to scam your customers

(i know you will say this has happened in the past from Arthur Andersen)

then you have annual financial statement published and auditors doing this kind of confirmations
Have you seen anything like this so far.
we dont even know where is this company location as could be anywere in the world.
as with all Bitcoin companies and related sites all are doing whatever they want
and as they say in my country when you have your finger in the honey you will lick it

The answer is very simple - don't use them. There are warnings about this outfit scattered all over these forums, even on this very thread.

Use a reputable pool, do some background checks - the info is out there, you just have to search a little.

Just like the warning for Mt Gox, but still idiots still used them.  Some people will NEVER learn!
