Will ghash.io take any action to prevent itself from reaching 51%?
not sure about this. seems nobody are aware of the growing hashpower of ghash.io. They're quite aware. The problem is Ghash.io will always be the dominant pool because their private farm is as fast or faster than any other pool out there *before* counting the public miners. The problem here is, GHash.io includes the largest concentration of privately owned mining power in the world, so there is no way that anybody can even attempt to challenge them, even if there was a massive public outcry. The largest pools have always gained a larger than proportional share of new mining power.

I'm pretty sure they are already over 51% of the network but are hiding the fact in various ways.
Worrying times for Bitcoin, especially with their history.......

GHash.io, your days as a mining pool are seriously fucking numbered.
You have been flaunting your disrespect for far too long.
It's over.

Ghash why do you steal, don't you make enough money? 13800 2014-06-10 11:37:03 305103 25.0014 1/120 a minute 29.14 Ph/s 133600/25000083362 0.00% 400231522 0.00013360 13799 2014-06-10 11:36:05 305100 25.0900 4/120 17 minutes 38.40 Ph/s 133600/25000083362 0.00% 9315616754 0.00013408 exact same shares, even less speed on the pool than previous block but same payout? Actually made more off the block with 38 ph/s vs the block where there was only 29 ph/s How is that possible? Less people worked it. More money should have been spread.. ps: your support sucks donkey cocks. Especially Daniel

Especially Daniel Unfortunatelly you are wrong because you have 133600 shares vs. 25000083362 and this proportion remained equal, less power more time but with the global shares submitted fixed to 25000083362 there is no difference you learned more in the previous block because the bloc have more fees 0.09 vs 0.0014 that's why you got 48 satoshi more... This is my opinion....

seems to me that round was less power less time. same proportion of shares, = more payout due to less power = less people mining-more money paid out. You're probably right. Getting them to correct it wouldn't happen anyway.

Do the math by yourself divide btc total block ammount by 25000083362 ad multiply by your submitted shares 133600 and you can see that the ammount payed to you is correct. do it for 25.0014 and then for 25.09 And you will see that the two ammount are exactly what you put on you post. Remember less power MORE time and not viceversa, don't mismatch between rounds and block finded... Rounds are counted in the first table of the ghash.io page, block finded are in the second table down the graph, if you look at the block table the total shares used to compute the ammount you owe are almost constant, it's the time of the 10 rounds that compound your total share (visible in the first table) that will vary in time.

Ghash is showing two blocks with number 305142. The first one, ID 13819, paid out normally. The second one, ID 13821 is stale and hence no payouts.

I get horrible mining hashing speeds when connected to them anyway, so I won't be using them as my primary pool. They're all over the place. Very inconsistent.

CEX.IO CIO Jeffrey Smith has tweeted that an official statement from GHash.IO is coming regarding the 51% issue.
"I want everyone to know - we are aware of the 51% on @ghash_io We would never harm the community. Our official statement is coming soon."
So they don't consider double spending as harming the community. Strange. Official statements from cex/ghash are "for the fishes": email from support

Hello uk1,
I would like to inform you that this information you are reading is not accurate, we are a company that does not involve itself in any sort of online gambling, its for the fishes.
