Today Aug 4th GHash.IO celebrates the date of it's first ever mined block (4th Aug 2013).

Since then we have hit many milestones. As of now close to 414,000 BTC has been mined on our pool.

We have created an info graphic of numbers and facts you might find interesting.

GHash.IO: From the first block to the #1 pool

You could change the pool if you are unhappy. Why make demands in such language for a free service?
why is it so hard to make payouts work correctly?
Why are you defending them? Don't you like being paid regularly?
You see they don't answer, why is this?
They were quick to answer me on their bullshit quote supposedly from a song.

We are having issues implementing the auto feature correctly and as timely as hoped for. There is ongoing discussion on this topic on our support website.
Posters with civil questions will be answered as quickly as possible. Swearing and aggressive posts less likely.
Really? looking through months of support tickets show this is a continuing problem.
So posting to your site does little for actually fixing the problem.
Once a month it appears your site breaks on paying people timely. Going back months on end.

The New World Order thanks you for your support of Bitcoin and encourages your continuing support so that they may track your expenditures easier.

Just took a look at the new infographic, those numbers seem huge. Great milestones indeed. And we've gotta admit that cex have been professional all along the way.

But over on the slush thread, you were bigging up ghash and slagging off miners for "being ripped off" on slush. Make your mind up or you will look like a bit of a tit...

But over on the slush thread, you were bigging up ghash and slagging off miners for "being ripped off" on slush. Make your mind up or you will look like a bit of a tit...
Over on the slush thread I was telling the fools they are losing money on that pool.
This pool when it does pay; pays better. Just stating facts not bragging anything up.
At least slush figured out 5 years ago how to do payouts automatically.
Call it like I see it, if you think I am bragging this up you're crazy.
I'm here for the money if you think it's for their amazing support you're nuts.
Or for their ripoff gigahash trading platform, ah no.
By the way ghash, golf clap for getting your shit together and getting payouts working again.
1 year down you'll figure it out eventually.

I've had 50% of miners on slush and 50% on GHash for the past 3 months. I guess that makes me only a 50% fool. Over that period I've made more coins with slush. So who are the fools? You have more variance with smaller pools. Any fool should know that.

And, yes the auto-payouts actually work on slush; I gave up complaining about this to GHash, they obviously can't fix it. I'm going back to slush 100% so that I can be a 100% happy fool!

can someone explain the large deviations in the stats reported on the website (5m, 15, 1h, 1d) and also under last shifts section?

my S3 miners are reporting strong steady rates of 425gh/s and 445gh/s after days of mining however on the Ghash website it often drops all the way down to low 700gh/s which does not make sense.

Whats driving this ?

thanks

That wasn't my experience when you add in the money from nmc ixc and dvc I make more here.
So good for you for making something on slush.
Yes slush has been able to get auto payouts to work since he started his pool years ago.
And they always work and you don't have to wait for some arbitrary time to get paid, you get paid as soon as it confirms out.
Which is why I don't understand what ghash's problem is.

Why would they make it nearly impossible for newbies to enter Cex.IO? when vouchers for mining on Ghash.IO is send to them via referal?

You send someone a voucher, to get them to signup for the site, then it gets complicated beyond believe.

First off, you MUST enable 2FA or you f#$%ed. To do this, you have to configure APPs on your phone {Authy} - If this fail, and it did with "No carrier Rockchip S10" problem, you can skip the APP and say you have no smart phone, and they must send your code via SMS <--- But you never get the SMS and the APP says -->Install successful.

Then you enter the site, and you try to redeem the voucher, but it stops you, and tells you this " Please enable two-factor authentication and verify your identity to be able to process fiat transactions "

To verify your identity, you have to do this CEX.IO :

Our beta-testing offer is limited, so please make sure that you meet all the requirements below:

1. Your age is not less than 21 years
2. You have the following documents required for verification:
 - Passport or National ID
 - Proof of Residency
3. You agree to provide us with scans of your passport or national ID, and agree to present the documents via Skype call as a part of the video verification process.
4. You have a bank account, which allows you to send bank transfers or transfer funds via VISA/MasterCard.
5. You are aware that the minimum funding/withdrawal limit for beta testing is 50 USD.
6. You have a web-camera with resolution not less than 1 MP for live video verification.
7. You have Skype installed.
8. You are proficient in basic English.
9. Your CEX.IO account is older than 3 months.
10. Two-Factor Authentication is enabled on your CEX.IO account.

Apart from getting a enema to get bodily fluids, it's impossible to enable 2FA or to verify your identity or to redeem your voucher.

WTF, why would they make this so impossible for people to join, once you refer them and give them free vouchers?

I have been mining with GHash.io for a couple of months, and consistently seeing my "actual return" lower than my "expected return" (i.e. my hash rate / network hash rate x coins generated)......

Wonder if this was just pure bad luck, or is that something sneaky behind? ......

I've been there almost a month and I've noticed that as well... Consistently about 15% less than expected. In fact, only one day have I gotten more than what was expected.

May go back over to BTCGuild. Not sure tho.

Hey Kprawn, sorry for the issues you are having. The vouchers for cloudmining have nothing to do with the beta testing identification requirements which are for US$ trading. Perhaps something has gone wrong with the process you are going through. 2 factor is a key security feature of the site either via Authy or SMS.
Suggest you contact support and advise issue to get resolution. The process is not usually so complicated.

Well you do realize your not going to make what those calculators say you'll make, one simple reason is about ~ 1/5 (someone do the math on the %)  of your profits are taken for maintenance fee's (assuming your buying cex's cloud hashing)

Guys, whilst calculators give a good guidance they are just that guidance and indication. Variance via luck is a major factor, in the past 2 months or so difficulty has increased significantly and the impact on returns can be seen on block solve times. There are more blocks taking perhaps 2 hours thanbefore which impacts rewards in a given timeframe. Also the pool can have good streaks and bad streaks (same for any pool). The 'Last Blocks' data on the main GHash.IO site shows blocks solved and time taken, look at that data as well as reward. So nothing 'sneaky' purely facts of mining in a rising difficulty environment.

ghash.io,

your support page appears to be down.  it loads but takes you to the cex.io sign in page even if you are already signed in and, when you enter your credentials it just keeps prompting you to sign in.  I did logout, clear my browser cache/cookies, logged back in to cex.io and the support page still just keeps prompting for a login.

I was trying to get there because your auto-payout is still not working.  My BTC balance has been above my auto-payout threshold for several hours now.  My balance does appear to be accruing correctly but just isn't paying out once the threshold is reached.
