Is it wise to market heavily a product that has not been released and proven to work? I have no doubts that the technology is legitimate, but what if it comes out and has some bugs that need patching etc. seen it happen to other coins, as some bugs don't show until adopted by many users over many systems.

Just wondering what the rational was to go into hyper-marketing mode now instead of waiting 5 more days and understanding that everything works. Now I just have to hold my breath and hope we don't face tidal fud again.

Also the press release is highly explicit about XC's current beta state.

Lastly testing is ongoing and will continue until after Rev 3. Basically it works now, will continue to work later, and will simply be improved upon through XC's beta phase. There'll still be testing after the official launch, and there'll be testing when we unveil the Android wallet.

So basically, there's no way to test first and let the word out afterwards. And there's no need to either. XC works. It's market-leading. It's currently being tested. Wonderful.

i'm all confused! stealth mode, darksend, supersend, halosupersend, verisend... which one is p2p, centralize or what kind of technology are they? any better then superduper xc stealth mode?

In the investment world, it's called Due Diligence.   This is the XC thread, of course we are going to say that XC is the best....  Even if we tell you, you shouldn't just believe it blindly.   If you want to invest in other coins, then you will have to do your own research.

Kinda proves my point about hyper marketing and excitement. It might seem rational to you brcause you are heavily involved. I'm a rather seasoned investor and this kind of press release has two major points for dumb and smart money

- 7th July

So, if the technology doesn't revolutionise the world on the 7th July I expect a market burn-out especially if we get pumped up on news alone.

This would be true if it was the case that the technology wasn't already in existence. The release isn't about Rev 2. It's about XC.

That said, I'm all for not letting emotion overwhelm. The release is well-substantiated and the news today has reported only facts and opinions, not promises or hopes.

This isn't even close to the biggest XC news so I wish people would stop hyping it.  Just because they are NFL players it doesn't mean they are big names and it doesn't mean they can publicly endorse it.  It's just ridiculous to make this out to be something bigger than it is.  Unless it's official, I think it would be wise to put a lid on this right now. IMO
