Too bad I am all out of ammo  Cry

There will be a lot of ammo coming in the next few weeks. We have nothing to worry (NFL players, Investment firm, OIL connections, Beltway contacts, enz)

Love some reinforcements!  Thanks for the reminder!!!

Community is quite terrible sometimes.

Rev 2 release. Check.
Website launch. Check.
Social media revamp. Check.
Updated wallet logo. Check.

Quote
Multi-path is being fully implemented as we speak for Rev. 2. When it is released, there will be (a) a sizeable public bounty, and (b) consultations with several cryptographers and other experts.

Testing phase with experts. A public bounty. Rev 2.5, user friendly. Rev 3, official launch. Did people really expect a new system to go into effect without testing? Ok, so the PR team should have clarified for some of you guys. I already understood that Rev 3 is the official launch because I actually read the road map. I'm familiar with software and game development so I understand what an official release means. You go through testing then release. What is wrong with you people?

I also like that the FUD time is when ATC is most likely asleep. It's 4:00am in Boston. This is just like last time. I don't care about the price of XC yesterday, today, or tomorrow. I will continue buying and supporting. If you're in for the long term, you'd be doing the same. It's going to be the same story. They wake up. Get things in order. Go through questions and concerns. Back to kicking ass.

Wow, there's something wrong with a few of you if you think being late by less than an hour(30min?) is a deal breaker.  Do you guys know how technology works?  Do you guys know how life OFFline works?  Sometimes there are tech issues, sometimes there are family/life issues.  It was still 7/7 in my timezone and many others, so it was close enough.  Would you rather get nothing and all of a sudden have no dev when they dump on a price spike and never come back? or would you like one that is constantly working on making the coin better?

He doesn't HAVE to keep working on this you know.  He could be like most coin "devs" out there and throw in the towel at the first sign up trouble or after the first pump.

Also, news isn't directly tied to the price of a coin.  Most go up before the announcement and then straight down after....even if it's good news.  If you buy on news alone, you will get burned many times.

I'm a massive suppoter and holder of XC, been here since day 1. However that was a bit of an abortion if we are honest.

There was no documentation with the release to say what was with it, no checksum, nothing. Here it is, rev2 and all it was, was a wallet with an updated logo to the naked eye.

You need to be slicker about this, full documentation with a change log, checksum information on release etc. Markets are built on confidence and it was temporarily killed with that release.

it would really help instill confidence in the coin if atsecure would sign off on releases (including file checksums) with his PGP key. Also, what's with the github? it seems it's wiped in between releases?

This is XC's stance on open source:

XC is committed to the open source model. Open source code is vital for the health and advancement of cryptographic technologies, and it is a privilege to share our technical breakthroughs with a community such as this. We believe that XC's code embodies several world-firsts enabling anonymity that is scalable, mobile-friendly, POS-integrated, and is ultimately a platform upon which a broad range of Blockchain 2.0 technologies will be built. However we have been under severe attack from competing projects. Furthermore people’s faith in altcoins is significantly hindered by clones. Therefore we believe that the ethical way to engage with the community is to make code available on a delayed timeline. This way, the community will still benefit from our work, while we'd reduce the incentive for developers to flood the marketplace with clones that lack a long term future and reduce the trustworthiness of the altcoin phenomenon. XC represents several market-leading innovations, and we are honoured to make these available to the community in the near future.

PLEASE NEWCOMERS! don't let those fudders get in your head. All they want to do is buy your coins because you panic sell

this early investor is still up ?? % from initial investment and I sold HIGH and going to buy LOW to accumulate MORE.. you should do too, this is a LONGTERM project

And bitcad4u  Huh really? your mad? 7 week old coin, which we screamed needed branding/pr/BS and now that we've got it still aint good enough

dude... all it would have taken at like 5pm..when someone knew shit wasnt going as planned... would be to release a statement saying there WILL be a delay.  Instead we got at 12:01 AM a non functional release.

testnet only release... means to me.. somethings broken so dont use it on mainnet..

for the record I am not FUDing.  I am stating facts bro. also I am not trying to lower price for newbs.   newbs should be aware of the facts.

the fact is STILL no one can answer simple questions about xnodes.  I asked over and over and over on reddit.. i was ignored in the AMAs.. go read.
when u ignore investors.  when u dont listen to them about things (privacy platform / xcurrency) , when u do not release on deadlines withouT prior notice... it leaves a bad taste in mouth.

I will be back to XC when I see things have calmed down.  for now I can no longer invest here.  I am sorry.

With "supporters" like you, who needs FUDding...

Indeed. They are prob celebrate!:)

Well topped up with a few more, compared to other coins we are in a great place, looking forward to more updates to come and will be interested to read a detailed update on REV 2 from ATC... This shakeout it probably not a bad thing going forward as the next rise will now be even more solid.

They team have now LOST the trust of many investors. We were not expecting just a testnet client of Rev2. Things are clearly broken. Did the team communicate anything. FUCK NO...just released an 'exe' to a random IP address which isnt even Rev2. How fucking professional is that.

I feel sorry for when east coast USA wakes up and have to sell with whats left in the market. Its going to be a bloodbath.

You're like that fabled Japanese soldier stranded on a remote island, still fighting WWII 20 years later.

FUD team looks like they've got the prices they wanted and moved on, but you didn't get the memo.

Let's see if I got this right.
Traders are people who courageously and skillfully devote huge amounts of energy and even some money, carefully supporting and nurturing new ideas in crypto with a view to making the world a better place even though they know they do so in a very risky space. They never grumble if they make a bad call.
They always keep themselves up to date and never mouth off before checking facts. They understand that ranting on a public forum just because they feel let down could in fact make everything much worse. Sort of wish fulfillment. Hey.these are professionals. The coin devs  are, in fact, employees of  the highly professional, ethical and devoted traders but are not permitted reward for their efforts. After all, so many devs have manipulated situations to increase the value of a token and then walked with the profits. Traders would never do such a thing.
Traders feed off the coin only for the benefit of the coin. When traders seemingly arrogantly demand results and post ugly and abusive remarks it is for completely altruistic reasons. Or when they threaten to dump K'sss of coins in what would seem to most people to be a spiteful tantrum from a spoiled 5 year old, don't be fooled. They are coin supporters and do it only for the good of the project. Any apparent impatience before release of new developments has nothing to do with getting timing right for selling and profit. Simple mortals should understand that.
Some might suggest that traders are simply skillful  parasites that put absolutely nothing into the project except money and rationalisations for their greed.. But I see no evidence of that.  The rumours that traders feed off noobs and "don't give a s##t about any coin" must surely be false. After all, they spend hours scanning markets and graphs. They invest.  Nothing to do with opportunistic greed.
I suppose there may be some fools out there who invest in a coin because they want it to succeed and introduce new things as astonishing as Satoshi. They want the devs to be rewarded and supported in the quest for future developments. It's a bit like believeing in something worthwhile other than money. Fools. They should be sent to Wall Street to see how  decent people  behave.
