Some of the people worrying about price make me laugh, i spent almost a month accumulating when we were 8k to 12k range, all that is happening is we are settling at a higher range, i personally think it will be somewhere over 200k but we have to wait and see. Xc is a volatile coin.. Don't sit and watch it all day if it stresses you..
Absolutely agree. Buy & turn off your computer. Enjoy the time in your life & come back later. Quote of Andre Kostolany: "Go to the stock exchange und pump your money in stocks. After the purchase of the stocks go to the drugstore and buy a big supply of sleeping pills. After 4 years you will awake as a rich man"

So who's gonna take a stab at using secure private messaging around the end of the week?
I personally can't wait.
Expect the UI to be rough, but the fact of it is amazing: communicate with anyone, with no central mediator, and no snooping.
I love tech that returns the power over my information to me.

+1 for yesterday's release, there's no doubt, dev had encountered some tech issues needed to be solved. And most of issues had been fixed before yesterday. (maybe some minor ones left, as ATC mentioned in his post). The key point is that XC has great tech advantages over other ALTs. A complete system is composed of several software components and protocol layers, that beyond most investors imagination, it's complicated. You can't easily produce a great product without hard working or even design flaws in the road map, since you are not GOD. What satisfies me is dev team has solid tech background that just fits this project(from linkedin) and they has been solving tech issues from the beginning. The message I got yesterday is that: Dev has employed most advanced new technologies to implement xnode feature and even 20-years software veteran did not entirely control this risk(yes, we delayed). And after V2.0 release officially, XC will left other anon ALTs 20000 miles behind. For those who spent 2 days to "develop" xxxxxSend feature, I could only LOL without other emotion.

In retrospect, Rev 2 will ultimately come to be seen as a case of over-delivering, since we packed trustless decentralised mixing into it. No-one expected that. I'm not sure that the significance of trustless decentralised mixing has sunk into the market yet.

Sure there will be a queue of people waiting to test this, i know i am. but i do have a request, can you make (or ask some from the community to make) a simple, one page manual before the qt is online with atleast: 1: The parts that will be new in this wallet 2: The parts that will NOT be in that test release 3: The basic steps needed to test it I fully understand the need for testing but maybe it is a better idea to scale up the tests slowly, like first on the forum, later on this thread. In IRC ATC was busy not only with testing but also with explaining basic stuff to some, this lead to a lot of confusion and some FUD here.

Just to reiterate some of the details on EM: Hi all The advent of trustless mixing in Rev 2 is, of course, a major landmark in the history of cryptocurrency. But we have another surprise for you today. You'll be very happy to know that secure private messaging has in fact been completed for some time, and around the end of this week we will invite the community to begin testing it! Secure private messaging represents the beginnings of Bitcoin 2.0 technology, as it extends its functionality beyond that of merely processing payments. When the foundation of XC's architecture - the Rev 1 Xnode - was being built, it was necessary for its broadcasting system to be encrypted to prevent snooping on transactions. And since an encrypted communication system is at the heart of an xnode, it's straightforward enough to exapt it for users to communicate. This, in brief, is how secure private messaging works in XC.
Secure private messaging is not Rev 2. The test build we will release does not have trustless mixing in it. (After all, when you're testing for something, it makes little sense to combine a second unknown into the equation.) The two will be merged when testing on both is complete. Secure private messaging will not affect our schedule to bring Rev 2 onto the mainnet, as it's completed already. We need a testing team. If you'd like to try out XC's very, very private messaging, download it around the end of the week and give it a shot. We can't wait to give you a chance to play around with it.

As a developer and network engineer, i can with confidence say that the trustless decentralized mixing feature that is running by default for every wallet is ground breaking. Currently no other currency have accomplished this.
Skilled developers.

Experiences speak loudly against number of BTT post. So I never believe those devs who spend so much time to post shit on this website. You could never be a true dev if you don't show your background. In linkedin We Trust Dan.
