I only wish that I had more funds available to invest into XC, this coin is truly going somewhere and I am VERY excited to test the Secure Private Messaging at the end of the week! I dont think people realise just how much of a big deal it is to the general public with all the snooping going on.

Is it going to be like having an anon whatsapp that you can send people money to anonymously? If so it would be great to market it as such.

This team is doing a beyond excellent job and the innovation shown with Rev 2 trustless decentralised mixing (getting world firsts) is really just mind blowing when you think about it on a grander scale.

Keep up the good work, it is very much appreciated.

Yeah, you've got the picture. Truly secure WhatsApp is ultimately the concept when it comes to mobile phones. It's gonna be awesome.

For now of course, it just runs on the QT app. But hey, you truly keep control over your information.

Thanks for supporting the team. There's some exciting news about the team coming up today actually. Stick around...

oh i see. real secret.ly is coming.

secret.ly is now valued around 1 billion something?

how about a CRYPTO secret.ly lands on appstore.

huge.

Hi all

The advent of trustless mixing in Rev 2 is, of course, a major landmark in the history of cryptocurrency.

But we have another surprise for you today. You'll be very happy to know that secure private messaging has in fact been completed for some time, and around the end of this week we will invite the community to begin testing it!

Secure private messaging represents the beginnings of Bitcoin 2.0 technology, as it extends its functionality beyond that of merely processing payments. When the foundation of XC's architecture - the Rev 1 Xnode - was being built, it was necessary for its broadcasting system to be encrypted to prevent snooping on transactions. And since an encrypted communication system is at the heart of an xnode, it's straightforward enough to exapt it for users to communicate. This, in brief, is how secure private messaging works in XC.

Secure private messaging is not Rev 2. The test build we will release does not have trustless mixing in it. (After all, when you're testing for something, it makes little sense to combine a second unknown into the equation.) The two will be merged when testing on both is complete.

Secure private messaging will not affect our schedule to bring Rev 2 onto the mainnet, as it's completed already.

We need a testing team. If you'd like to try out XC's very, very private messaging, download it around the end of the week and give it a shot. We can't wait to give you a chance to play around with it.

Lastly, as a little surprise, we’re proud to unveil XC’s promotional video!

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=00WyuTm5jvQ&feature=youtu.be

This is the best crypto video I have ever seen.

At 2:40 "Working on the technology to allow the purchase of XC currency directly from the mobile wallet"

What Shocked

No one?

Can this mean we can implement decentralized exchange using the wallet dencentralised technology and access it from our phone in the future? Im getting Hyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyped

Yes, decentralised exchange is a common blockchain 2.0 implementation.

However what'll be more meaningful to the mainstream is the ability to by XC with fiat. That's a major goal after Rev 3.

IMO buying XC with fiat via the wallet is way more important than encrypted messaging. Not sure if it could have been done before EM though. This should have a higher priority. Maybe REV 2.5 if the implementation at that stage allows it.

The bigger issue is with getting the right partners as well fitting with the right regulations. We would love to make it happen at rev 2.5 but it's not going to happen, these are the types things that are the future plans coming after rev 3.

You, sir, would need to earn some respect back before there's warrant to trust your intentions.

It's well known already that tests are in order to get things working. The testers tried some things, changed parameters, and then got it working. End.

That was my mistake as the receiver address was not one of my wallets and the transaction did not complete Im not even sure if I was in the correct new wallet to begin with as I am super noob and I asked for permission to be assisted during testing because I did not want to Fuck up... well I fucked up as you can see from the complete IRC chat.

so yea this is pure FUD and you should get banned by TEKA.

The whales just look at:

and find their XC balances are world-wide known as well as with BTC. The whales are afraid of another most dangerious animal on the planet, tax officer Smiley

Agree with you, I just wanna smoothly point you out, that XC's decentralized mixer, even being perfectly working, does not deliver an extra protection against tax officiers, than BTC does.

Unfortunately Cryptoalts.com shutdown because of the owner didn’t had any time to maintain the pool. I was the node operator of Cryptoalts and start re-writing the code to continue this pool.

After two weeks of coding / testing the pool is now open for open beta-testing under the name:

http://www.DutchPool.eu

DutchPool is a Hybrid p2pool multipool where you can mine POS coins like Blackcoin / Mintcoin and X11Coin. There is no registration needed just use your coin address as username and start mining. You can also get paid in multiple POS coins (Hybrid mining). Combine the address with a period (.) as username see our getting started page for more info. We have nodes online in Europe and Asia for Scrypt / X11 and SHA256.

We hope to see all Cryptoalts miners back at Dutchpool!
