XC website is a hack job - with cities around the world as a background..Venice = WTFBBQ and a shitty menu on the left that jumps around all over the place.

This was rushed and done by an amateur. The future list looks like a pump and dump hype list. Be realistic.

Agree with you. I hope, XC source code does not resemble it.

Teka, when do you open the XC sources? Just for us to be calm.

I'm not the dev, I'm the community manager. The xc source code is not being open sourced for a long time as in years, we don't want clones of xc and people have asked for it not to be open sourced.

Transactions must be included in a block to be properly completed. When you send a transaction, it is broadcast to miners. Miners can then optionally include it in their next blocks. Miners will be more inclined to include your transaction if it has a higher transaction fee.

Yeah, you've got the picture. Truly secure WhatsApp is ultimately the concept when it comes to mobile phones. It's gonna be awesome.
How will it compare to Telegram? Isn't that encrypted too?

Thanks Flashbit. We're sticking around. XC is way too significant for a couple of rash-minded people to affect our commitment.

On that note, I just published this on Reddit:

XCurrency is, at present, the only project with trustless decentralised mixing. This is a world-first, and a fundamental game-changer in cryptocurrency.

Consider it in perspective: Satoshi Nakomoto solved the Byzantine Generals' problem with Bitcoin, creating a trustless digital cash system. However Bitcoin is insufficiently private for several real-world use-cases, like keeping company accounts out of full public view, or allowing political donors (and the amounts donated) to remain private.

Until XC, there was no solution to the Byzantine Generals' problem that allows sufficient - and flexible - privacy for the real world. And now it's here.

In addition:

XC is the only functioning anoncoin that avoids bloat.

It is completely decentralised, avoiding what Gregory Maxwell refers to as a "security bottleneck" in the use of semi-centralised supernodes that forward transactions.

XC is designed from the ground up to be mobile friendly. Fully functional staking mobile wallets are on the way.

Telegram might be encrypted, but it's centralized (as Whatsapp is) so there are still logs of your activity somewhere on some server. The fact that XC is a decentralized platform, meaning that communications between individuals exist only between their respective wallets/apps. My guess is that the trace through the Blockchain 2.0 will dissolve after the message is delivered and while in transit it will be fully encrypted. Also XC being a multipath platform where transactions are split into multiple "threads" the same could apply to it's messaging system, meaning intercepting a complete message is impossible. Although at the moment it's work in progress, this is how I see it, please correct me if I am wrong.

EDIT: Apparantly XC's messaging system uses a p2p broadcast system, avoiding use of a blockchain. This is even better as no personal information is publicly visible alltogether

Most people don't want to hide from the tax officer, they just don't want the whole world knowing about their finances. Bitcoin makes it far too easy for people to know a lot about someones finances.

Ok, I know Rev.2 is here to fix somewhat we talk about.

I just ask, assume I look at this site:

http://chainz.cryptoid.info/xc/#!rich

and found 10 most rich people.

Does XC Rev.2 or Rev.3 provide something againsit it? So If I look at that site after Rev.2 or Rev.3 have been released at mainnet,
can I still track top 10 richies or not?

Yes, there's no centralised entity that stores or mediates your messages. It's pure P2P. You have true control over your information.

Incidentally though, XC's secure private messaging does not use the blockchain, it uses the broadcasting system. This is a good thing, because blockchains store information publicly, and this is no way to handle personal communication. XC's messaging operates via an encrypted P2P channel between apps. Done.

A lot of people disagree

Please...are you serious? I'm a designer and that site is so noobish, only investors can say that it's ok

Replace it, and make it pro. Just an advice.

i agree http://xc-official.com is a shitty site. it's all jumping jacks and broken links(download). I also have seen people(teka?) hypes http://forum.xctalk.com like crazy but the logo not even work! i would fire whoever managed http://forum.xctalk.com - xctalk.com right away. what a lazy moron. please redirect xctalk.com to forum.xctalk.com
if you having health problem then quite. my apology if i'm rude but this is how a company/business operate.

Forum.xctalk is being worked on, with a brand new theme. There logo is an issue that I tried fixing multiple times but it's not as easy as you think, there is some serious issue with a cloudflare

Hey Cyberhacker

XC's secure private messaging will have a chat feature as well as an "email" feature (i.e. stored messages). and it'll be mobile.

So yes, it'll be a bit like Snapchat, only secure and private.

I see a very bright future for it.

sorry to keep asking.

if it is not adopting blockchain, how to integrate it with XC?

If it is totally anonymous, it will beat other claiming anon APPs.   only this feature will bring unimaginable value to XC.

All cryptocurrencies have a broadcasting system that allows nodes to communicate transactions to each other. These transactions hang around until a miner solves a block, and then the transactions get written to the blockchain.

For XC's messaging, we use the broadcasting system (a secure encrypted one), but there's no need to also write messages to the blockchain. That'll just make them public and bloat the blockchain.
