Aocs mint (US) are now stocking a copper art round. Could be of some use handed out at conferences etc. as a talking point token . http://aocsmint.com/copper.html?p=3

Bitcoin addresses contain a checksum, so it is very unlikely that mistyping an address will cause you to lose money.

Good stuff! Currently $387.95 for a "bag" of 250 (@$1.55) or $37 for a tube of 20 (@$1.85). Discounts for buying multiple bags or tubes. Not bad. So, who wants to resell some for bitcoins?

Bitcoin is the ultimate freedom test. It tells you who is giving lip service and who genuinely believes in it.
... ... In the future, books that summarize the history of money will have a line that says, “and then came bitcoin.” It is the economic singularity. And we are living in it now. - Ryan Dickherber... ... ATTENTION BFL MINING NEWBS: Just got your Jalapenos in? Wondering how to get the most value for the least hassle? Give BitMinter a try! It's a smaller pool with a fair & low-fee payment method, lots of statistical feedback, and it's easier than EasyMiner! (Yes, we want your hashing power, but seriously, it IS the easiest pool to use! Sign up in seconds to try it!)... ... The idea that deflation causes hoarding (to any problematic degree) is a lie used to justify theft of value from your savings.

I'll be getting a batch of 500 in a couple of weeks that can be paid for in bitcoin , as I'm in the uk though it would make more sense for someone to resell these for bitcoins in the US as that's where the mints located

I am considering placing an order to resell these in the US for BTC at BitcoinMint.US. If anyone is interested in preordering them, please PM me. I'll place my order this weekend if there is enough interest. I think 5 for $15+shipping (in BTC) is a good starting sales price for these.

What is the idea? Just to have as a copper investment?

The issue with a copper bullion art round is the premium , as the value of the metal content per 1oz round is so low the cost to produce it is quite visible . That said I think it has merit as a store of value in the long term if not a "to the moon" type of investment like silver. Regardless lots of these rounds are being sold each year , I hope/suspect buyers of copper have already stored away silver and gold .

Are you able to point out who is selling miffman? If it is private I understand. EDIT: I have been sorted out thanks to a kind member.
