The more ambient light in your room, the more overweight you will be.

I have a dozen or so led lights in my room.

I was surprise, I always thought this was because of overeating and no exercise.

Smoke up and chill down.

Nope. It's lightbulbs' fault. Also indirectly causes cancer.

My aunt is 400lbs because she took birth control 20 years ago. True story. Tongue

I'm below average BMI, but the place I just moved to has horizontal blinds that let too much light in at night (if they're pointed down) and too much light in the morning (if they're pointed up). Considering I don't have money to burn on curtains or robot blinds, maybe I'll get fatter, because I have to get up around sunrise to flip them.

Saying that you don't trust someone because of their behavior is completely valid.

I guess so, since my curtains are all falling apart.. it hits my face 6-7am sharp.

I dont even have a alarm, I automatically wake up just to go back to sleep.

Gee, I'm currently in the health BMI..  I sleep at night not being able to see my hands 10cm from my face, so I guess that's the reason for my healthiness Grin  That's actually a pretty cool article Smiley

Ronalds still smiling... so creepy  Shocked

I think outside from the food industry, it has to do with minimum wage still being at all time low. When cost of living keeps on going up.. and just to get by we have to pull out debt.

I'm almost 100% sure this method would work but you would need painkiller medicine before doing this and some bandages after  Grin

I kind of thought that would be a coincidence more than a serious factor doesn't seem to make much sense to me that a lightbulb packs up the pounds
Maybe having a later sleep schedule but just ambient light
That said I guess eating food and using lights has a relationship but I wonder why the Institute of Cancer Research is looking into this.
Perhaps its all the mercury bulbs but I do agree that night lights can mess with a sleep cycle

The answer to this question is in fact an ancient mind control conspiracy; the brain wants refined sugar and flour and the ubiquitous they add it to everything.

Nerds?  I stumble past construction sites and I see many Tradesmen who are overweight, albeit that's occupation-discriminatory ~ there's bound to be a few construction workers who play Dungeon and Dragons.   Cheesy  Likewise, the armies in developed countries are beginning to sound alarm over military obesity.  These are occupations where people burn a lot of calories during rigorous things and yet the fatties are abundant these days.

Obesity has doubled since the 1980s (in other countries the increase has been more).

Our diets arguably haven't changed, there was plenty of Coca Cola and hamburgers a couple decades ago.  Maybe one difference could between then and now, is the greater accessibility of Mexican cuisine but I don't think that's the culprit.

As well - gasoline use has declined to 25% of what it was in the late 1990s - suggesting that people are driving less.  If people walking more means less obesity, right?  Wrong - obesity continues to go up regardless of the mode of transportation (feet or automobiles)

If I had to blame the culprit, then it's

- People think the world is going to ruin (the internet doesn't help in accessibility of information) and maybe this is triggering the weight retention gene.
- GMOs in our wheat and crops and the things our livestock eat.

I can say this - when I was in Asia, the cows were skinny just like the people.  I ate nonstop beer, soda and greasy food in Asia and managed to lost a ton of weight.  It leads me to believe in the 'corrupted food' hypothesis more than anything else.  Are you kidding about what you think Asians eat?  I was able to get New York Steak and Pizza at every touristy location in Cambodia - hell, even saw a Mexican restaurant.

Good thing. I have little to no LEDs in my room. And I barely have the lights on, so that's a plus.

At first I thought that the Americans might be the world leaders.... but I was wrong! It is the Saudis.  Grin

Wow, the US, my home country has over 30% obese? So shocking.
