I have no Mathematics Skills. I cheated, I used a calculator

30,360,610 barrels  is short of a Tanker BY A LONG WAY which holds a whopping 2 billion barrels

So....

1 Coin divided by 99999999 (although someone told me once you can have 10 digit satoshi's)

so maybe 0.00000001 Per Barrel.

2 Coin = 1 Tanker.



If you get the 5000 coin BIG IDEA Bounty that's 2500 Tankers of oil

For anyone interested - This Tanker has total amount of OIL worth 124271844.6601942 BTC)

OK SO BACK TO OPEC

2 billion divided by 30,360,610 gives the amount of oil in this tanker that's up for mining.

However at just 1 Coin per barrel all the coins over the POW stage total up to 1/65th of a Tanker. Far more manageable!

And just a fraction of the UK's Oil Usage.

According to good 'ol Wikipedia

UK consumed about 1.6 million barrels (250,000 m3) of oil per day in 2009

Your in for one months supply of oil for the UK with all the coins in POW Stage.

At least the next time you see an Oil leak from a stricken tanker on the news - you will be able to put it into perspective.
Perhaps this Coin could contribute to Charity - In this case - I would suggest OIL Clean Up when spillage occurs.

Unlike a barrel of oil that can be used once (burned, rubber made from it, etc) OPEC Coins can be reused, so there's no need to have 1 OPEC Coin for every barrel of oil.

So if some arab sheikh sells 100,000 barrels of oil to BP for 100,000 OPC he can then go and spend his OPC to buy a new Rolls Royce (coz his previous Rolls Royce got its ashtray filled). Then a Rolls Royce company owner goes and spends his OPC on hookers. Then hookers spend their OPC at a BP gas station to buy cigarettes so BP got its OPC back and ready to buy more oil from sheikh! So as you can see same OPC coins reused many times when oil used once and gone!

Even hookers can be re-used and are, quite often....

Coins and hookers have much in common in terms of getting reused.
So if you are to create a HookerCoin and declare a goal
1 HOOK = 1 hooker usage
you will have to create 1 HookerCoin per every hooker on the planet  

Not the case with oil barrels as you can use an oil barrel just once
