Can someone explain to me why we everyone here thinks we need mintpal to add us? Were doing fine on bittrex.

we are currently waiting on the exchange trade function built into wallet, live market data in wallet and whitepaper for cloaksend2.0 short term goals not yet reached. |

Cloak, launched june 3rd, tons of innovation and delivery from developers and seems to be the first real working anon coin, 155 pages and growing. Cryptcoin, no hating on it at all, just not understanding how started may 20th, 68pages, and doesn't seem like bad coin, but not as innovative as what i'm seeing.
Am i missing something? Why is cyrptcoin trading all time highs and beating out even almost vericoin now, yet cloakcoin actually doing so much with tons of innovation, and possibly first working anon coin, but is still not on mintpal or trading higher?
What am i missing? Are people just blind to this coin still?

Well.. I have my own theories. Mostly around the polionex mafia pumping selected coins (it started in trollbox, then someone paid mintpal a handsome sum to ninja-list it). It's a coordinated pump. Baseless. Can't deny it's an impressive pump though. The dev's will have to release something revolutionary soon though before a dumptruck ruins the party.. |

So this is super nit-picky, but I wanted to mention it. The wallet download that was released says version 1.9.3 (that's in the zipped file name and in the post here: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=637704.msg7358072#msg7358072). But the binary isn't stamped with this version number (it says 0.7.3.1). The first wallet was version 0.7.2.10. Thus, if I want to check what version I have and compare it to this post (or the next update) to see if I have the latest version, they're not going to match. For the next wallet update, can you make these versions match?  |

Well I don't think your theory is that off, i've seen in cyrpto scene some very shady stuff, and believe the exchanges are in on the money party too. Of course I'll probable get boos and attacked for this, but some of these characters that always seem to call it right, and it's all a big scam party, if your in on it you make tons of coin. Darn shame, cause it's leaves good cryptos for dead, while ones like this get overlooked. Invest in what you believe in, I believe in this coin and it can make it to the top even if pumped. |

I don't think regulation will come to crypto because crypto must be legitimised by government first, and I think we're a long way off that. I'm sure they would love to regulate, but that would mean the crypto would then be recognised as an official 'thing' be it commodity or currency. Both of those things are threatening to banks and governments. I think they will just stand back and point saying "oh, look at those foools loosing money, that's how dangerous crypto is! Welcome to Citibank - we care!"

I don't think regulation will come to crypto because crypto must be legitimised by government first, and I think we're a long way off that. I'm sure they would love to regulate, but that would mean the crypto would then be recognised as an official 'thing' be it commodity or currency. Both of those things are threatening to banks and governments. I think they will just stand back and point saying "oh, look at those foools loosing money, that's how dangerous crypto is! Welcome to Citibank - we care!"
While I do agree with everything you said, I'm just skeptical that we will just go unchecked too much longer. I don't have any idea how but I have a feeling either big money will take over and make the rules or governments will come in to "save" all the poor kids getting scammed. |

Yes, I've worded that poorly. It has been legitimised by government for tax purposes, but not in the hearts and minds of the people as something interesting, or valuable. The tax issue only puts people off further. If you start regulating it and making it safe for Mum and Dad, that's when you truly legitimise it in the minds of the people as something that can be trusted. I just don't think the government has more to gain than it has to lose by doing this. |

I had many, many deals as you can see and I never scammed anyone. All it takes is a random account to give you negative trust and youre screwed. Tomatocage has never even talked to me ever but when the random acct hit me with negative trust, Tomatocage came right behind him and marked neg trust again so obviously he was the one who did it. You can look at Tomatocage trust and see how many of his compeditors at the currency exchange thread he labeled scammers. I never scammed anyone. My trust was green over 20 before this. I hope it never happens to you because the mods cant help you.
