About $1200 and In bitcoins that would be like 5 bitcoins at that time , was pretty bad feeling. After that I had even bigger loss of $3000 but It wasn't in bitcoins It just was dollars and after that loss I play more smart and never lost something like that again, so I learned from my own mistake pretty fast I would say Smiley Gambling could be such addictive thing I can say from my own experience but one day you can master It and don't fall for the none stop betting without any logical thinking till your balance hits 0, lol.

I think my biggest loss in a day was with poker.
Only like 50 dollars in a day but for me at that time was alot.
Poker learned me to not go betting or trading again when you just lost.
Because your mind will not think normally and you will make big mistakes.

60BTC on primedice...
What a day it was
I won went from 59BTC to 40BTC, did a 20BTC yolo, got to 60BTC then just to make it 61BTC, I did a 1BTC martingale and completely ruined my game down to eventually 0BTC
This was around the $125~ days

BUT I discovered recently that I would have cashed out via MtGox, and we all know how that would have went!

NOT well.

LOL, i guess the lesson here is dont Martingale.... or gamble.

I think he meant if he wouldn't lost his money at PD he would have withdrawn them to mt gox, and end up losing them anyway.

Nothing major, a few hundred dollars, but relatively speaking it was still a massive kick in the balls.

Sometimes an actual loss is hard to take, but its the missed opportunities that are the hardest for me to get over.

Missed opportunities where you were going to buy, but stopped, then you see the price sky rocket - or some speculatively low buy order, those are the ones that can literally wipe out your losses and see you in huge profits.

Not my highest loss but concurred a 150 loss streak and lost 2BTC yesterday :|

Dice games are far too risky for my liking. I've never had any decent lucky on them, they just bring disappointment - particularly if you attempt to up the stakes. I never gamble with any thing that I have paid for - just earned Bitcoins.

I've lost around 0.2 BTC to dice games, a far cry from some of the losses others have incurred.

I've had huge luck...
Won 60BTC
Won 14BTC
Won 8BTC

But the losses...list goes on for a while on losses lol

I'm still $400 up in the clear though

Wow that's nice, but if you're only $400 up then you must have lost almost all of it again :S

I'm still up on my initial investment, but that is dwindling with some of the pisstaking that is going on with alts.

I usually play with bitcoins I earn
I never play with money out of my bank account

Say I got cut off the internet right now, I would have $400 in profit from bitcoin gambling
The money I have lost was money I never had Wink

But it is money that you could have had, if only you had cashed out Tongue C'est la vie, as they say. It's hard to quit when you're doing well then run into a few losses.

I lost about $1100 shorting bitcoin's price spike in early March. I had made much, much more shorting in February, so it was okay. But it hurt stopping out my position and taking the loss. This was around the $590 level.

You do well to stop and not go back to try earn your losses back.

I think that gambling to win back money lost through gambling is one of the silliest things, but it is a hard habit to break for those engrossed in the idea. I've lost about 0.2 on dice games but don't think I'll go back either...

But the thing is, once you are introduced to gambling the little devil lives inside, dormant for however long until one day you fancy playing again.

Definitely a cheap way to realise the real risks that gambling pose. PrimeDice's Stunna always says that it is about the entertainment value, which is why they have a free faucet to play from. Even that can be addictive - which is how a lot of people actually get involved for real.

Actualy my highest loss was not bitcoin related, it was about 3k USD in bwin online casino.
I took it realy hard coz i was dumb enough to bet my rent & food money alone with my fun-money.

learned alot from that night, i even think i saved myself more money from that day til now, than i lost, just by being wiser with money.

$30K in a month playing poker.
In BTC I didn't really lose but I could have been set for life if I had hold onto all the coins I've ever bought.
Lessons learned.

I paid $2 to a VPN For a trial account thru bitpay that never registered, so I paid the $2 again.

Couldn't be bothered to complain to bitpay, so $2 is all the bitcoin I ever lost.

They did it with a $150 transaction too, but I emailed them about that one and they returned it.

indeed, so much can be gained or lost in such a quick time with altcoins. i sometimes get down on myself over missed opportunities, but there is quite a lot of risk involved.

Interesting, because I gained millions a few days after posting that...when Polycoin went to 80,000 satoshi.

i don't like to think about this one. when bitcoin was rallying in early march, i thought it was a fakeout. i shorted at 585, stopped out my position and lost $1500 in about 30 minutes. Undecided

Over 10,000 BTC in the collapse of pirateat40 Trendon (fucking bastard) Shaver's Bitcoin Savings and Trust ponzi scheme.

I wonder what that would be worth today...

Yeah BurtW lost a few more than me, but probably because he got in earlier.  I didn't get in until May and that was stupid.  I should have doubled and ran but max.btc didn't respond to my PMs since he ran off with the money most likely.

So there is already thread about "Your Highest Earning IN A Day " but what is your highest loss in day?

$185,000.00 USD in a real estate transaction that soured.

That one hurt!

In US real-estate that's not that bad.  We have 1 home that was bought for 600K and went down to 330K at one time.  It's still about 110K under.

An expensive but worth lesson.  I have learned not to touch ponzi schemes even if BTC is only $6 and I was minting 10 BTC a day Sad

Decided to play around with forex trading back in 2011. Lost about $200 in the space of three days, or about $100 in one. Fortunately made most of it all back a few days later, withdrew it all, and never traded forex again.
