If you have purchased a fuel can in the last few years in the United States, you know the socialist stupidity that is the California Air Resource Board. Rest of the world fuel can: Flows quickly, safely, and reliably. U.S.A. government retarded fuel can: Causes dangerous spills. Increases air pollution. As with all communist nonsense, the Free Market finds a way around it. These filler hoses are available at many farm and ranch supply stores. $10 each. The Official Site for EZ-POUR® Universal Gas & Water Can Spout | RETAIL CHAIN STORESNo more suffering back pain. No more fire hazard fuel spills. No more broken nozzles. Less expensive fuel evaporating into the atmosphere.

I never understood them until after 10 minutes of trying to make sense of their picture directions. Those gas cans are abhorrent and leak everywhere.

That regulation was initiated by some overpaid politician who has never poured gas from a can or a hose even. He pays someone to do. Most major decisions are made by people behind a desk who have never lifted a finger in manual labour and don't have a clue as to what they're talking about.

Less expensive fuel evaporating into the atmosphere. I bought a plastic can recently from one of the big box stores. Like someone else said, you have to hold the base of the spout down in order for it to flow. All fine and good except that it leaks and I always end up with gas on my hands and around the mower. Lately I've been pouring it without the spout attached and it's better. Just gotta have good aim

Agreed. I had to use one of the exact cans you have a picture of last week. It NEVER WORKED!!!! Any plastics engineer that designs parts would be laughing at this thing. He'd immediately say that one of six little tabs or nubs would break within x number of uses and the whole thing would be worthless. But even then, the thing leaks everywhere. You know something? If they asked me how to do it perfectly without any leaks or waste my answer would be... "siphon hose".

I have never actually seen the second version of that gas can And I am happy that I have not since it sounds like it just makes a mess of things

How did we manage to use gasoline without blowing ourselves up for so many years before our benevolent masters got around to protecting us? I can sleep better now knowing that my gas cans are spilling fuel all over me instead of spontaneously exploding.

With a lot of luck . This is a normal image on what kind of gas cans are used down here. I've seen people filling 2l bottles with gas a few hundred times and till now I haven't heard of them causing explosions .

Reminds me of those low flow shower nozzles caused by government regulations to limit water usage...so companies started making multi-head shower nozzles to bypass the regulations:

The nanny state in Oregon made it illegal to fill up your own gas tank at the gas station.

Much more annoying than the can it self, is to be without gas, having to walk to a gas station with the first bottle we could find, and they refusing to sell gas saying that we have to have a gas can.

New Jersey is the same way. The first time I was there I was given a warning for trying to pump my own gas. Really weird stuff but at least people from New Jersey and Oregon are spared from the constant gas pump explosions in all the other states. Oh wait.....

I also bought a new fuel can when I bought my EZ-Pour. The cashier lady was ribbing me. She said "Now don't put that nozzle on this new gas can or I'll have to call the police on you!". We laughed. The great god FedGov grows more irrelevant by the day. I look forward to the day when Americans can purchase fuel-efficient small Diesel cars like people can in Britain, Japan, Australia, Germany, et al. Such cars are prohibited in the United States in order to protect domestic automobile corporations from competition. My friends in Mexico love these things...

Wow, lol. What is this shit? Regulated gas cans? You can't pump your own gas in some states? What is the reasoning behind any of this garbage? Safety? Safety from what? Gas doesn't ignite very easily at all. I've seen someone put a cigarette out in gas before, it's flammable of course, but not as much as most people expect it to be.
