The thread title is a bit misleading. It looked like the announcement of a place that did accept bitcoins now.

Changed.  Nine people so far.  I am thinking maybe if we can get 20 people it would be great.

Inspired by Phinnaeus Gage Chicago thread and adamstgBit Montreal thread, I want to form a list of San Diego bitcoin users who would like to go to restaurants accepting bitcoins as much as possible.  Once we have this list, I will start emailing and calling restaurant managers.  I am also thinking if I have your email and or signature it will be more convincing...sort of like a petition.  If a restaurant manager sees this list then it will be a no brainer to use bitcoin if the list is long enough.  Add your name to this thread if you live in San Diego and also your restaurant choice.  My choice is Stacked in Fashion Valley Mall since you can already order food via an iPad.

I grew up in San Diego but now up in L.A .  I like your idea there .... Maybe I should start up the L.A one.  We should have a place/website where there is a template on how to approach managers to accept bitcoin. Sort of a "best practices" . Also, have it where we can do a checklist of whom everyone contacted.

Yeah, I've said this a fair bit.  Cut and paste template.

While email is good, i think its best pitching to the places you go to.  I pitched to one in Brisbane.  As soon as i told him you get %100 of the bill (unlike visa or master card) he was on board.

Just waiting on my coin kite now!

I live in LA and am in San Diego at least twice a month for business, for days at a time. Sign me up. I will gladly frequent an establishment that accepts bitcoin.

We're growing fast now and expect to see many more merchants come online in the next year.
