I actually wish I bought Bitcoin when it was at $1, or less. Wink

Meanwhile, those of us that bought at under $1 are wishing we hadn't sold at $5, $10, $35, $65...

Long gone are the days of selling 70 BTC at $80... Damn.

I bought in the 400's and 500's.  Bought again few days ago.   Think we'll see another hover a 440-500 after a bit.

There was an even better chance. Two months ago, some 5K Bitcoins were suddenly dumped in to the BTC-E exchange. The price dropped from $380 to $164, although for only a few seconds. It climbed back to ~$350 in 5 minutes. Those who had placed buy orders at $180 and $200 hit the jackpot.  Grin

I wasn't that lucky though.  Angry

Actually, it is not too late to buy Bitcoin now
It's not really staying even at $650, the price has only been here for a few days, compared to the $440s for almost a month.

I actually wish I bought Bitcoin when it was at $1, or less. Wink

It's all guesswork really, so there's not much point in having regrets for not doing something when it could all turn on its head tomorrow and you could find yourself better off for having not done it.  I recently decided to diversify my investments and buy shares in a company instead of putting more into crypto, but so far Bitcoin is outperforming the shares.  I could regret that choice now, but then it could all change and the shares could skyrocket and Bitcoin could tank.  No one knows what's going to happen, there are bound to be winners and losers either way and hindsight is always 20/20.

Just buy every month a little amount without looking at the price, hold them and never sell for 5 years, then enjoy your richness.

Wise words. It may not even take five years, massive adoption could happen very suddenly, possibly as soon as 2-3 years.

Remember Aaron Swartz, a 26 year old computer scientist who died defending the free flow of information.

I bought at $450 or so, rather wish I bought at $1 - but there was no way I could have known about bitcoin back then.

Forget about it's price in dollars, I just wish I had a pizza when someone was willing to pay 10k BTC for it.
Just buy small amounts every month, as DolanDuck said. That's what I'm doing anyway.

I don't really speculate like crazy like some people do, I'm going to trade with it as an actual currency and sell stuff for it.

When it hit $360 for that brief moment a month or so ago, I went into a panic. I actually got scared that it would tank down to $200 or less. So at first I got scared, (didn't sell of course), and then I thought "eh, I'll wait until it hits 2 and then buy."

Now I'm kicking myself I didn't buy at $360. Really kicking myself.

I did the exact same thing.  I was just waiting for it to go lower to 200 and then I was going to be 5!

Here's the original thread: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=137.0
laszlo's last login date on bitcointalk is April 13th this year btw.
Also, if my memory serves right, I think he had well over 10k btc at the time. So spending 10k in that day for a couple of pizzas wasn't such a crazy thing Smiley.

I had bought a few coins when they were going at $10 apiece. Paid a 20% premium as well (localbitcoins). Spent some $48 in total, to purchase 4 coins. Hmmm.... what would have happened if I had bought coins for $4,800 instead of $48?  Angry

I regret not buying more before the recent spike. My coins are in cold storage and will stay there for some time.

I have an itch to spend some BTC, but I'll be paying a couple hundred more per coin than my average buy.

Yeah, should've bought more.
