When the price is low and going down it should be easy to buy because the price is low but buyers are concentrated on the fact that they could buy cheaper

Not everyone has savings to buy

It takes dedication to save a lot when you are not making a lot

The recent price just has me kicking myself for not buying in. Add in the fact you can now trade bitcoins on your iPhone and it's just hurts.

Also, who think it's weird that bitcoins top out at $600-650 or thereabouts. I think a lot of people got burned buying at $600-1000 during that big boom, and are cashing out as soon as they break even.

Thoughts?

For those early adopters who bought their bitcoins in 2010, it probably doesn't matter to them now whether they bought in at $0.54 or $0.74. If Bitcoin truly takes off like many of those here believe then the fact that I bought my first bitcoin or two at $540 or $740 will be irrelevant when the price for a single bitcoin reaches $50,000-$1 million.

I don't get this thread. It was written before the latest dip and during the rally to $680,  so it should read:  "Who wishes they had bought bitcoin when it was $450 or so"?

If you bought 100$ or 1000$ worth of bitcoins it is a nice difference between 0.54 or 0.74!

I agree that both are well off and both members that bought @ 540$ or 740$ will be well off when it is @ 50k-more

We went back down, 480$ currently, next move may be down but the superiority of the technology, crawling adoption and negative western financial news to come will push the price to new highs soon; there is only that much hiding and postponing of a crisis that a State can do

Maybe, but it was intended as a jab at those who sold around 540 while those who bought at 540 were laughing. This is a fail for the ones that were laughing at the time. Even with a name like the sock puppet OP, it seemed like it would work, but it still failed. The ones that sold are having the last laugh and it doesn't matter if the price goes to $10,000,000 tomorrow. The thread is still a failed attempt at mockery.

The title "Who wishes they had bought bitcoin when it was $540" is a joke now the price is $483.

falllling, you should rename yourself into "bitcoin is going to nowhere but down".
