Hey everyone - the Quark Foundation is very happy to announce that Bill Still, respected filmmaker and economist (http://www.imdb.com/name/nm2293007/?ref_=tt_ov_st), has started an Indiegogo campaign to fund a new Bitcoin and cryptocurrency documentary. He is a leader in the field of economic reform and is frankly the perfect man to educate the masses on the subject. Also, since this is a Bitcoin and general cryptocurrency documentary, it is something that the entire community should show its support to - while Mr. Still is a friend to the Quark community, this is a terrific project for all cryptos and thus deserves everyone's support. Please help in promoting this terrific project!

Bill Still the Quark Pump scammer? How shameful. Shame on you

Bill Still the filmmaker who has made several very well reviewed documentaries is looking to make a bitcoin documentary examining the economic basis of bitcoin... and you're scolding me? This is not related to Quark - we are working with him, but the intent is to make a documentary that is good for the entire crypto community. I'm sorry you don't want to participate, but it could be a great opportunity for publicity for the entire sector.

+1 this is more about Bitcoin and Cryptos in general and the fact that he also likes quark amongst others is his choice. Don't understand why come above gets so much butthurt over this while his post history is about pumping the coin he holds nem.

this is btc talk Vic expect trolling.

because trolling.

---

Of course some won't support this, and those people do not support cryptocurrency this is not a documentary about Quark its even called "Bitcoin isn't dead" {or some such thing}.

there are a number of legitimate alternative currencies out there {a few anyhow} and they should get behind this as it will promote all cryptos; to the many that don't know the first thing about them.

---

to contrast that I expect some Crypto's feel that they don't need the exposure as they may feel that they are selling the name (and the brand) to the wider public , however with these eventualities come many different roads, some are darker than others, some may lead to a dead end also.

While he helped bring more attention to alt coins he also had no real understanding of what he was promoting. Many people got burned with the Quark pump.

Hopefully he gives an accurate, fair and informed presentation in his documentary.

Bill Still has a deep knowledge and understanding about the function of money. If you had watched any of his work and research, you would know he is a very outspoken critic of using money as a form to gain financial wealth instead of it's intended use as a means of transaction serving the public intrest, with extensive documented research on the subject. He is anything but an advocate of Pump and Dump schemes. In fact as recent as a year ago he was against BTC for that very reason:

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qDgnu5B1SJM

Only recently has he come around to crypto as a means of currency created in the goal of serving the public interest. Don't blame him if YOU took that as a sign to invest in any particular currency with the goal of realizing a quick profit. That is NOT what a real currency or his message advocating crypto is about.

obviously come-from-above you are one of those burned people - you are correct you would be best sticking to monopoly scams, they are nice and warm and don't move because they are all owned by about 5 people, as you clearly can't handle the free market , these are the best investments for you probably.

i'd recommend NXT and Blackcoin for you.

Ripple has lost its warm fuzzy - but you still have Dark to throw some money away into.

grab the next IPO you will feel so rich !  Neutrino looks good !  look at that market cap !  get in !

Well it's your own poor trading fault, it's trading and nothing to do with a coin itself. You buy at the high you get burned, same with BTC, LTC and all others. Nonetheless this video is good for Cryptos.

sold at the top hey? well good for you!

great work !

i'm just glad that there is lots of support and stuff , i judge nations generally from how they support people and stuff.

you can see in failing economies , there is little to zero support for the disabled.

we can say a lot about our Banking oligopoly but we still have some support for the disabled!

and that's a hell of a lot more than most nations !

i think its great that you are on the forum and i support you Come-From-Above !

Although i have been reading a lot of your posts lately and do agree with you on most of them. I consider you to be off on this one. Quark is rather a special case. It was largely bought by a lot of people outside of the normal crypto scene. If you look a lot of those that grabbed QRK up their wallets have not really moved. They were told rightly or wrongly that qrk would reach dollars not cents.

The qrk liquid market is tiny a few btc can double the price or halve it.

I Sold some at  20k sats + but have bought quite a bit of that back.

QRK i find works on a lot of things without really talking about it.

Despite what the board previously said about qrk the main dev didn't get much of it himself. He is the most silent dev i have seen. Although is very on the ball with updates and patches.  I don't think he has much financial interest vested in qrk... more of a project for him than financial returns. This i feel is the weak point of qrk right now, those working on larger projects for qrk do so in silent.

QRK needs a dedicated and financially invested development team, not to take over from max but to assist and keep up with latest features and fads. Fads are fads but people love them and handled correctly can generate a lot of interest and financial input into the coin.

I think bill still honestly believed in qrk and thought it answered a few questions BTC had. I like QRK a lot it is a very fast solid coin and i have not had any issues ever using it. The people i talk to working on projects seem very dedicated and seem to have the belief making headway on a few big projects is better than trying to just on the lastest hype or fads. I am not sure that i agree with them on that though.

I think QRK will be one of the alts that stays around for the long term. I will always keep a chunk of QRK but there are no guarantees with any coin.
