In my opinion the only target of such huge total supply is for provoking some extra liquidity in a long term.
Or some negative responses. Anyway, we won't feel the size of total supply in a first couple of month.
Wow, bro. Please tell me how it can provoke negative responses?

1) Number growth with difficulty which means that we will have a shit load of coins after a eternity of mining
2) The idea of merged mining is all about to equalized in value with MRO, Quazar, BCN and/or any other CryptoNight-based coin
3) You can mine it forever so the currency will stay in use after a years (maybe not but it's possible)

I am pretty sure it will fail but it is a nice test to see what happens in the future. And since its merge mined you dont waste much resources on it. That of course if miners are constantly optimized for the other coins. So i wanna ask if they are and if not whats the difference?

Hello everyone, there is a thread discussion on what you would like to see in an open source GPU miner for Cryptonight algorithm coins. Please discuss what you would like to see in a GPU miner similar to Claymore's excellent miner, if your algorithm can stand to benefit  Smiley

Potentially it’s infinite. The more people mine, the more coins there are.
log2(difficulty) * 2^40

Is infinite only potential or there are endless number of blocks?

All CryptoNote coins have unlimitted number of blocks.

If you can limit the total supply, MCN may have a future~~~

If you can limit the total supply, MCN may have a future~~~

I’ve attempted to reach positive feedback between demand and emission in MonetaVerde.
As I know this is the first such attempt.
My goal is decline in deflation. The less the deflation the more it is profitable to save up some MCN. Deflation ruins the usage of cryptocurrency as a legal tender.  I suppose the deflation wouldn’t be gone entirely but will decrease significantly.  And the infinite emission is the outcome of a positive feedback, it is not an end in itself.

What's the difference between this thread and the other? Regardless, what are the plans for an exchange?

I plan to launch an exchange today.

This thread is supposed to be used before the official launch.

Why use the new thread?
official thread  always in https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?board=159.0
not in  https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?board=67.0

And hope can launch a exchange today.
It will help a lot.

I prefer the new thread to discuss because in my mind it's logical.

It will help a lot.

I hope too.

It may be logical to you, but it will probably be hard to find for a lot of people.
