"difficulty" : 0.00003052, "hashespermin" : 18,
Looks like initial diff is too high. diff=0.00003052 => 131082 hashes / block. If we've got 50 machines mining at 18 hashes per minute, the total network hashrate is 15 h/s => mining a block takes around 2.5 hours That's about accurate. The initial difficulty was set high, and the initial rewards were set very low. This is nothing unexpected. Once blocks start getting mined, the difficulty adjust will take place. This was to ensure that blocks don't fly off the shelves.

Do you have libminiupnpc installed? What is the output of "locate libminiupnpc"?

locate libminiupnpc /home/ubuntu/boolberry/build/release/contrib/miniupnpc/libminiupnpc.a
You need the shared library file. Can you do sudo apt-get install libminiupnpc-dev and try it again?

If it was too easy I guess it would be hard to imagine it would ever be worth anything. My computer still fighting the good fight!

I'll have a pool up pretty soon, if there is interest... Edit: we do need a standalone miner first.

even if I had the memory resource, all this feels like a big waste of electricity and computer ressource (2 hours to get 1 shynicoin... sorry but that's totally ridiculous). not mentionning, it will take forever to validate... (would be funny if it got orphaned )

I just got the chance to sit down to my computer and start to mine this coin on 2 of my servers. But the blockhight I get is only 3. Can be that only 3 blocs are mined altogether 5 hours after the launch? Does this mean that i'm just wasting my time and energy with this coin?

Yes, the initial diff was set too high. Undefined (as in not provided by the dev) number of blocks carry a small reward. At this rate it will take months to get to 400SHN reward/block OK. tanks for the quick answer. I am out as well. Definitely the developer should have invested more in QA and everything in general. The wallet daemon requires 15Gb ram even if setgenerate is false. This means "regular" users wont be able to use the wallet.
