The problem is that solo mining is quite difficult now. We will need a reliable pool soon. By this I don't mean to undervalue sandor111's efforts with his pool. But it just doesn't seem reliable enough to me so far, but still seems to be in testing phase.

The more hashes the pool gets, the faster I'll be able to make it more reliable. It takes a lot of changes because the hashing algo is so so slow.

Checking the pool miners I see a hashrate: 3.750 H/s

What box (specs) can produce such hashrate?

Its me testing the pool...

@sandor111: What fees does this pool have? Also does this NOMP software display any detailed statistics about payments anywhere?

We really need an open source pool....

So my conclusion for now; coin with potential but the launch was rushed and enabled istamine for the power user. Not a fair coin imo.

There was no instamine, the block reward started at 1 and went to 400 over the course of 2 days.

You are right, sorry! Missed this in the ANN post, my bad... Proof is also in the blockchain so i take my words back on the instamine.
Still the coin is targeted to powerusers, hope these things will get optimized in the next weeks for better adoption.

Anyway good to see some innovation these days Smiley hope the pool comes back online soon for a testdrive..

The server is really expensive... it has 256 GB RAM and 2x Xeon 2620v2, to make it worthwhile I am taking 5% fee for now until I figure out a way to reduce the load on the server... I know I should update the page because it still has the 1% from Slimcoinpool.
Increased the initial pool diff by 2000%.

Yes now it is. Got a message before it was in maintenance. Thx!

edit:
Code:
[2014-06-25 17:11:25] accepted: 1/1 (100.00%), 82.63 hash/m (yay!!!)

If the dev releases the new code that would not require a local ramhog thread to validate blocks and manage the wallet, then the pool server costs would be greatly reduced.

We 'll have to wait.

If that happens then this coin will be huge... but it's a very hard task.

Also, are we sure that the standalone miner is fixed and works as expected? This is very critical.

Yes it works for stratum, I haven't tested solo mine but it should work too.
Pool should be fixed now.

Can someone explain?

Running it with 60GB i get ~80 hpm, running it with 240GB i get ~150 hpm

I thought running it with more mem gave a bigger advantage.

Partly! Promising enough because it eliminates botnet mining and it has a proper algo, but the codebase is still Bitcoin.

Monero is a different story (with enough bugs to get fixed)

Anyway, this coin is far far away of being another shitclone Wink

Still have to read all background info before i can have a real opinion but so far no complaining
