When I use the new miner, it said: " I go faster as root." what's that? BTW, the new miner cannot work for my machine without being as a root.

To Shinycoin community: There is great interest in Shiny, the high hash rate on the network suggests as much. I would like to ask for volunteers from the community to assist with several things in development and popularity of the coin. Since there was no premine I ask for volunteers to both help with the work and to donate SHC. Here is the list of things that needs work, I may have missed something PM me and I'll add it, and soon will put this on the OP Wallet Internationalization - Bitcoin QT already has the ability, but as I've changed some things not everything is internationalized. Someone needs to go through it and make it fully internationalized. There is a web service that can make it easy, transifex.com Tip Bot - This is fairly straightforward, just a website that a user can make an account, and email SHC to anyone with an email address, who then makes a wallet to access those SHC Open Source P2Pool - There should be an open source P2Pool. Sandor has his mining pool up and I've pointed my hash there, but its always best to have multiple pools to choose from.Improved Block Explorer - laxori666 got one up very quickly and it works as it should with no problems and it is much appreciated. It is ashame that it appears he's received no donations for his work in either SHC or BTC, so I've donated 1000 SHC, and encourage everyone to donate what they can. The site should also have charts, stats, and a more interesting design. Anyone who can work on this please PM me or post here ShinyCoin website - http://zetacoin.cc/ is a great example. Nothing about Zetacoin, but their site is simple, has enough info, downloads etc. Protocol level changes - I'm working on some features which I've already started in the code which include user created currencies. Anyone who has any ability to make protocol changes, I can use some help in this area. If you have the experience/expertise PM me For each of these completed tasks I will send 1000 SHC and I hope the rest of the Shiny community will step up and donate what they can to incentivize and reward people helping with the coin. PM me or post here with your pledges. I will be giving regular updates on how things are going from now on, and have more time to work on the code. Sunny Prince open source p2ppool is urgently required. The sad thing is I saw the community is too small.

Too slow. Better give up mining SHC with that hashrate, you will submit a share every ~8 hours.

Those on *nix and who didn't get a boost from previous update, I have pushed another update that will surely boost your HPM by 20-30%. You don't need to specify any compiler flags, just do ./configure && make. And don't forget to set Hugepages or it won't work! sudo sysctl -w vm.nr_hugepages=X where X=7680*threads

I've made some optimizations to the pool and it should be rock solid now, it should be able to handle up to 1 Kh/s. And I've increased the share rate to 1 share per 100s.

ok, i think we done here. ... and waiting for better clone, the clone sometime better the original one, base on their promotion skill I agree. This project currently depends on a dev who is lost in space and on the exclusive pool operator that cannot see further than his 5% fee and is dreaming of 1kh/s hashrate pointed to his pool. It shouldn't require a Harvard diploma to figure out what happens next to this coin. Get a good point: waiting for a good clone.

If we can test a pool with a coin daemon running on testnet, so as not to wait many hours for a real valid block, then I think we could collaborate on this and gather the required pieces in order to set up a ramhog pool. From what I see, it should not be difficult. It just requires some time. Currently I have no free time, but next week I might find some and, if I am still interested in this coin, there will be an invitation to anyone who is able to think long-term (important requirement-- sandor and bitspender are excluded - Sorry dudes) and has shown an interest in running a pool to collaborate on this and release some notes so that even n00bs are able to run a pool. If you cannot understand why, it's not my fault.
See ya all.
Right on man... let the n00bs run a pool! Interesting to see how that works out. Like really, ... I have no words for you. Idiot is an understatement.

What's wrong? Sorry, it should be vm.nr_hugepage sPushed a shinyminer fix that doesn't throw "Bus error" when hugepages aren't enabled.

And right there you imply that you are a pro... You re so funny... You see, our interests conflict. All you care about is locking everyone to your pool so that you keep getting your little 5% pool fee. All I care is getting this coin to evolve and be profitable. Most pools are run by n00bs anyway. It won't make a difference. The collaborative open work will be much more reliable than what you do. I can guarantee that. You'd better start planning how to ddos them all! Sure, as if someone else would had come up with a standalone open source miner and a public pool. Keep dreaming, boy. Never heard of MemorycoinV2, have you?
