What we should all understand is that running a fucking pool is not an arcane dark art and definitely should not be anybody's fucking privilege. It is for the benefit of all and the coin to have alternatives, so as to have lower pool fees, be able to compare the details etc etc.
As I said, the n00bs are about to run some pools. It will not be mandatory to use them. So, what's the big deal?
You obviously know nothing about pools and/or have never ran one. The server isn't going to pay for itself, you know. We are talking about a top of the line server that is being used exclusively for the Shinycoin pool. I am risking a lot, so ask yourself why no one else has stepped up to the game? Exactly that. Talking about alternatives; the dev wants to try build his own pool, I have offered him tips (how to) and help. I don't mind alternate pools, just not retards running it. I'd rather have the dev run a pool than anyone else as he is invested into this coin and seems to be very capable of it.

A server costs you about 125$ /year, and you can host hundres of pools on 1 server.

You are an idiot. Slimcoinpool is hosted in the US, Shinypool is hosted in China. The specs to host a pool for Shinycoin are astronomically higher than for other coins due to the ramhog algorithm. I know, don't feed the troll, but I couldn't help but point out your idiocity.

The site says they require 10 confirmations for shiny and your transaction has 12 so it should have gone through.

I've sent them 5 shinies. If these don't get confirmed either I'll email or chat them and see what is up. Site *looks* legit, maybe they just having temporary issues with a new coin?

I'd rather have the dev run a pool than anyone else as he is invested into this coin and seems to be very capable of it. ( red) And who's gonna tell who is the retard and who is not? You? If you or the dev had the exclusive privilege of being able to run a pool, then I'd go ahead with solo mining. You rented that server for you and not for us. If you risked too much with that server counting on the dream that you would always have the exclusivity, then you must be seriously stupid. Let others find out themselves if running a shc pool is difficult and risky. You should not worry about that. It's the beauty of the free market at work =). Sandor got the jump and benefited from being the only pool around. People are unhappy with the monopoly so they will start their own pools. This'll cause the pool fees to go down and will provide choice on which pool someone wants to use. All in all a great way for things to work.

You don't get it do you? There is no privileges, stop making shit up. Anyone can come up with a pool if they were motivated enough, and you pushing for it isn't helping at all. I don't get why the exclusivity is bothering you so much, be glad that we have a pool at all? It's exactly as laxori666 pointed out above, if you can't handle the facts then that's your problem.

Sorry guys, we were still syncing. Check your balance now, it should all be there.
We have been around since January and have done over 1000BTC of total volume. We have kept a low profile for the last few weeks and haven't added any new coins (in weeks) while we work on some infrastructure. Please let us know if you have any issues.
Thanks Ian

Any update on your deposits? Looks like it is processing, though slowly (9th confirmation was delayed by a few minutes): EDIT: Ah didn't see the previous post. Looks like all is well.
