I am mining there and have no problem, yet quite a few miners left.

I had trouble with the database server at Start, i needed to relaunch an hour later, the miners switched in the time, which is fully Ok, some are returning slowly. Pool and database are running fine now

What happened with all the coins from before the db issue?

same question here, only coins that have been credited for me thus far are the shares that were still unpaid when the server went down.  All the prior blocks found haven't been attributed to my account.

tx's are quick(i think after 5 or 6 confirms?). but it takes a long time for coins to mature after being mined(510 blocks?).

Yeah. 510 blocks. As DEV said this is for avoid dump.
And this is truly not fast if you mining at pool to get your coins for send on exchange or whatever.
