To speed up the process you can download and unzip this bootstrap.dat file into your data folder (after removing the old block chain) and it will sync up all the way to that point (about block 16470 at this point).

backup your wallet

close your client

on windows go to "C:\Users\%username%\AppData\Roaming\Guerillacoin" (don't ask me for mac  )

delete all except wallet.dat

restart your client

Update notes:

• The strength bar's tooltip now shows an estimated coins required for the next rank. (thanks to soupapinto for the idea!)
• Some minor bugfixes and improvements under the hood
• Newer checkpoints past the hardfork

While this shouldn't be an issue anymore; there are always a few people with sync issues (usually coming from older versions with broken blockchain states), so to help them, we supply a file with a pre-downloaded block state. In order to make use of this you need to delete your old blockchain files (txleveldb, database, blk0001.dat, peers.dat), and then copy the extracted bootstrap dat to your folder (note that the wallet has to not be running for all this). Then you can start up your wallet and it should scan the blockstate in bootstrap.dat.

Note: this only applies to users that are unable to sync all the way to the current blockchain height of 26k+. But feel free to use the file to speed up your blockchain download if you're starting from scratch.
