Not that this has anything to do with the OP intentions, but the diff increase is going to be crazy for the next two months.  Be prepared people!

They delayed the launch.

yes as they are mining at the lower diff rate.     this is an edge that only huge asic builders can do.

very simple.  the exact day diff jumps put out 20 percent more gear then the entire network has..  mine that gear at the current diff for 10 to 11 days  then release it to us.

so they mine 20 to 30ph at 13.7   we get it and the network is 16.2   .  figure out how much that is? it is 1100btc a day for 10 to 11 days.  or 11000 to 12000 btc.

this happens as I type .  it is AM and Bitmaintech combined.      what is that in usd  6.6 million dollars.

The rich get richer.

Stupid conspiracy theory from people that haven't even spent 5min to work out that it's far more profitable to keep shipping the boxes out the door than to mine with them. Once upon a time when you could make 0.3BTC per day off 32watts with a BFL Jalapeno it was worth manufacturers running a mining farm but not anymore.

An S2 makes what 0.037 per day, but selling it makes 3.131 BTC, when you can sell all you can make, go do the math.

...and "stupid conspiracy" PRACTICE IS...to MINE AND SELL ...is better...have the cake and eat it...

Capisco... Huh

The jump is possibly from all the devices going in transits after next difficulty. So after next diff it will be a cool off and its better to have such a jump now.

What makes you think it will cool off after this next jump?

Are there any photos or layouts of the upgrade kits for the S1/S2, is it true the S2 could be upgraded to do 2Th/s?

That's the theory right now, but nothing has been released, AFAIK, other than the drawing in the OP.

I don't think S2 upgrades are that high on their priority list tbh, will be a month or two before they bother offering upgrades for them, simply doesn't make sense to upgrade the S2s yet.

S2 will be profitable to mine in the next two months, and it will be perfect time to upgrade then.

Upgrade in two months must be really cheap to have sense (but i'm still thinking that if bitmain will give it for free but will charge a DHL shipping, the upgrade will be worthless)

hope these will be true in the mean time
in my place, electricity always down once a day for 2-4hours
so it'll be really such a pain in the ass cant mining full 24h

I doubt it will cool off that much not until there is no choice but to.

its going nuts  Cheesy

KNC delivering neptunes, Bitmain building S2s and 28nm I guess, BFL sort of delivering (started providing compensation from own hosted service), add ASICMINER who put downward pressure on the hardware market recently. So ye gonna be nuts for a while!

Imho this jump is less painful than what was been forecasted 3-4-5 months ago: lot of users were talking about "diff skyrocket, 50-60% two or three times in a row, etc.."
Network is growing fast but with 100 phash now can better tolerate also knc neptune hit.

fyi I disagree with the difficulty estimate.  I don't trust any site, I do my own calculations based on data from blockchain.info.  I'm seeing a current difficulty increase of 23.9% to 16,676,044,930.66.

Current time between blocks is 8.07 mins.

Change is slated to occur around 7:10 ET on 6/29.

Bitcoin wisdom is normally spot on and is the most accurate difficulty prediction site I have found, and it's predicting a 30% difficulty increase.

+1 They have the best difficulty prediction.

mdude77 if you don't trust difficulty estimates you shouldn't be in the mining game imo.

I look at bitcoin wisdom and bitcoin charts      and I find   that 3 days out bitcoin wisdom is always high and bitcoin chart is always low.

 right now

bitcoin wisdom says 17.4 29%

bitcoin charts says   16.2  20.3 %

I am certain    29% is too high and 20.3% is too low      add and average you get about 24.65%
