Just realized this was a little too late for beta. Would still like to get us on there when they do the full launch.

It appears that the halving is not going to affect the bitcoin price at all. This is good for Nexus and alts in general. Looking forward to see where Nexus goes from here.

If you have a twitter please retweet this tweet and continue to tweet @NexusNiro to exchanges to expose people to Nexus.

https://twitter.com/mercen144/status/751823974808506368

The team is most active in slack so if you need help with mining, staking, purchasing Nexus or if there is something you can contribute to the community feel free to contact us for an Invite.

We are sending out emails to many exchanges. It is only inevitable at this point that we will be added by other exchanges. There are some strong hands in Nexus and a lot of people believe in this project. As more eyes look upon it... the community continues to grow.

Thanks everyone!

do you think it would be a good idea to put together a marketing package of sorts? a quick read with highlights as to why they should list us on their exchange?

I think we need to wait until the wallet loading times have been improved and the trust key expiration issue sorted before marketing any further.  I lost another key the other day, was nearly at %2.

nPoS was released a year ago, since then the only visible major update has been the recent Mac wallet.  There is lots of exciting talk regarding Nexus and the future, however the issues we have all been talking about for a year have yet to be fixed, I am not surprised Aliman dumped.

Absolutely... kinda have a list we are working off of to build the new website for Nexus Earth. I also have a bullet point list I posted in slack a week ago I have to scroll way back and find. I was mobile and didnt have computer handy...

Agreed, The way i think Colin proposed is actually very fair. For every 7 days staking you get one vacation day. It is no small feat programming variable proof of stake that works so I am being patient. Right now... trust is more valuable than it will ever be because you literally have to check your wallet daily to ensure you dont loose it to a windows update or virus software interfering with your network. Lost my trust twice because of that and I wont let it happen again. Also he mentioned something about added trust to grandfathered keys so maybe that means something that those who lost trust in past will regain what they lost...? Dont know... he would have to elaborate on that.

We are all itching to get those updates too, believe me and they are coming.  Losing your Trust key is frustrating.  I know you are a long time Community member and we are glad to have your support.

Just to add a bit to what nightandday was saying, Nexus is more than just code.  In the past year the Community has increased significantly as has the visibility of the Project.  The Project is now open source.  Base architecture for the bigger picture has been planned.  Market cap is more than 10X higher.  The active Team and Community have been having very valuable discussions in Slack and are quite active.  We have updated the Bitcointalk Original Post and a fresh OP is being worked on.  The new website nexusearth.com is being worked on as are updates to how statistics for the network are displayed.  Mining interest has increased significantly.  We have talked to folks inside the industry and outside.  Many more investors have joined.  It is a steady process which has many moving parts.  The Mac wallet took a lot of time to get coded since this is not copy and paste, but it was very necessary.  I can assure you that Viz is working hard on much more than the code all the time and is dedicated to this Project.  We enjoy discussion and constructive criticism and presentation of ideas and welcome all to join in on the discussion.  Feel free to join the discussion in Slack if you are not a member and for anyone else who isn't feel free to send me an email preston@nexusoft.io or PM me here for an invite.

This joining Slack Preston mentioned is actually important part. Did you ever thought:
Oh, if i only knew about BTC in 2010(11,12)! I would be buying a shitload of it...
I am sure most of us did.

With Nexus you have similar opportunity, right here, right now.
Do your own research, join Slack Smiley

A year ago nobody was asking for a Mac wallet.  It appears the Mac wallet was more important than sorting the loading time and trust key expiration issue.

You guys, who don't mine, do not realise how frustrating this loading time thing is for a miner, I have to run 2 wallets when mining NXS, cause it takes so long to restart!  One of my wallets has over 25k transactions, even with quad core it takes 20 mins to load.  I have to run a 2nd wallet on a laptop incase the power goes!

I do still support this coin and think the future will be bright, however, as I have said before, stop hyping the future ideas until the stuff agreed/promised in the past is completed.  Please let Viz complete what he said he would before coming up with more stuff for him to do!

If you nee your wallet up quicker you can launch it with...
./nexus -checkblocks=1 -checklevel=0
which basically says to only check that the last block is valid, rather then the default (which i can't remember what it is, but it is much higher).  This will get you down to a couple of minutes.

Hey guys, I had to do a full reboot of the nexusminingpool.com pool today and also transfer some funds out in small batches, which locks up the LLP so the pool won't operate until it's finished.  Total down time was about 40 minutes.  To compensate I have set the fee to 0% for the next 24 hours.

"A year ago nobody was asking for a Mac wallet." I beg to differ.

Just in past 2 months i have personally been asked for MAC wallet over a dozen times. When it involves millions of nexus combined sitting on Bittrex due to lack of MAC wallet I find that to be a priority issue. I know others on the team have been asked too. MAC was important since many people have MACS and it is important to have the foundation built before we continue on. It would be harder to have a MAC wallet built later on in the coding process. Its easier to get it done now and build upon it. Unfortunately, since Nexus is not copy and paste code... it required quite a bit of new code and testing to ensure it would work properly.

Personally I don't think there is "trust issues". Viz sympathizes more than I with those too lazy to check their wallets every day. I check mine every day and ensure it is operating smoothly. Its no different than a server administrator ensuring servers are up and running for a website. Fortunately for those who have lost trust keys or want a little space (I admit i wouldn't mind having to worry less about losing my trust i have built for almost 4 months) Viz is actively planning, organizing and coding the new variables being placed. This is no small feat in itself.

This is also why the community has become more involved and new Devs are coming into Nexus to develop (Like the android wallet developer) to allow Viz to focus on core and these other ideas to be built on top of it. You too are welcomed to be involved and I hope as a Miner you are part of the slack group and voice you opinions, ideas, proposals and constructive criticisms in there as well. It is a lot easier to reach everyone that is involved in team through slack. We have a mining channel there too... so miners are active and friendly helping each other as much as possible.

Thanks- Keith

Nexus is pending review to be added to cryptopia.

Some plusses... little bit of arbitrage... expanding community... another forum post which creates better seo for Nexus... and better distribution through random reward system on exchange for trading and chatting.

Please go comment under thread if you have an account with cryptopia :-) Thanks!
