New miner will be optimized just for AMD?
Yes. Maybe Viz could pay Djm to optimize the Nvidia version to keep things fair and even. Although I do recall Djm saying that he did not think speed could be improved much when I asked a while ago. I remember Cestballot updated the AMD miner, and months later, he did the same to the green team, but it didn't end up working. Now the AMD guys are getting another update? Quite the BS I smell....

Not so fast, the AMD (R9) implementation is just now catching up to NVidia’s (Maxwell) implementation for Niro mining in terms of Performance per Watt. Wolf0 has done an amazing job optimizing/vectorizing the OpenCL kernel for AMD. It’s well written, clean, and easy to follow: 62 MH/s on my R9 280X. If we use his code on NVidia with some minor tweaks, we should see some decent performance gains and retain the Performance per Watt crown. So in a way, he is also indirectly optimizing the code for NVidia’s Maxwell. Thanks to Wolf0 and Viz.

Cestballot has nothing to do with miner updates other than posting links for binaries. Current miners were developed by djm34.

Bitslapper. I used his AMD miner for a while, used to get approx 42mh per 280x.

Any updates? When can we expect next release with full source code so we can get added on other exchanges?

Full source has been released. Says it outdated tho? Am I reading it right? Last commit was 4months ago.

Full source has been released. Says it outdated tho? Am I reading it right? Last commit was 4months ago. It's as current as the binaries, I believe - Viz is obviously working on his own dev copy, but that'll probably be pushed when he releases the bins. You know when the next update is?

We are waiting on viz to complete coding for variable trust key expiration which should be complete within the next few weeks.

That's actually a different method than we are proposing, but it is an interesting one that I have suggested before. I think it's a good concept and complement our work. In fact, we might be able to help with the decentralized nature of that project in the future Blockchain merging will be for coins with ultra-low security or network stability issues that communities would like to be grafted into the Nexus network to preserve the blockchain history... or even upgrading older networks to more secure and better technology. I would like to say thumbs up to BARR for taking initiative, given the ultra-low overhead of managing the BARR asset on NXT, it might be a good place to start. Thanks! We'll keep in touch. We might need to give you some OFFS Altcoin Offset Credits for recycling altcoins - check out the OFFS ANN if you haven't seen it: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=1233350

Trust Key update looking good, pushed some new commits to public Github for LLP v1.1 and Push Packets at request of Wolf0. Also added readme which I'm using as a TODO list for each update, feel free to contact me if you have any suggested features to be included in future releases. Will keep everyone updated when I get the trust key penalties finished and in Beta, which usually requires a good week of testing since this system is time dependent. https://github.com/Nexusoft/NexusThank You,Viz.

Skunk,
Updated makefile, still had remnants of my custom boost 1_57 directories, this is most likely why the Daemon didn't build. And Borris I'm looking to have it done by the end of the year, though you'll have a decent frame of reference when I go to beta to test for a week, that is when we can set the release date.
Thank You, Viz.

i have consistent problems staking on ubuntu vps. after a period of weeks running, i get an error (i cant recall now :p), and wont start up.
>>>> then i have major issues trying to import the privkey back into a new wallet. generally the daemon reports the transactions correctly. but reports a zero balance
so i can see the inputs, but have no balance. repair wallet does nothing. i tried -checkblocks=180000 but no help
in the past i have had some success with deleting everything, importing the privkey while syncing at a very low block height, then letting it sync fully. but the last couple of days i have had no luck whatsoever with getting access to my coins..
. i have just compiled from the source and tried the re-syncing from zero and no luck using that method.
-- and again a fail :p
- edit ; i got the error again, the only way i've found to fix it is to delete everything. which gives the result above :pppppppp
