The Bitmark development activity is not actually posted on BitcoinTalk. It all resides on Slack.
There are a couple hundred people in the channel that probably find it humorous someone thinks it's dead and is interested in a takeover. Feel free to request an invitation for a Slack channel invite.

So this coin is still alive? The concept was great.

It's used a lot in the Poloniex trollbox.  It's funny because it has hardly any volume but it's one of the few coins that is actually used often.

I hope BTM succeeds, but does the original scam developer, Nathan Rixham, still control a lot of coins? I'd hate to think that scammer would benefit given all the funds he stole.

Is this coin gonna make a move soon?

Well, it just made a move to the top of the Announcements (Altcoins) board.
Now it's sinking again... Cheesy

Observations and theory show that, on average, 28% of the binding-energy in aurophilic interaction can be attributed to relativistic expansion of the gold d-orbitals.

Dear Bitmark community,

My name is Yang. This project has been brought to my attention by Disastrus from this Forum Post.

I have an idea to found a non-profit organization and establish a new global value system (no, it’s not an alt coin) based on Blockchain Technologies.

It seems that Project Bitmark is very similar to this value system, which will ultimately unify all our upvoting activities. However, there are some basic differences. For one, the currency in the Action Mark value system can not be traded. This is because the Action Mark Value System does not represent the idea of ownership at all.

Why do I want to do it?
Just like Project Bitmark, I want to help solve many of our social problems today. I want to do so by creating something as ubiquitous as money, but which promotes our quality of life, rather than the idea of ownership.

How?
An introductory video has been made for this project: https://youtu.be/VwecnvVFVBg
If you like it, head to the website to learn more: www.actionmark.org
A preliminary list of system requirements has also been compiled for the Minimal Viable Product: https://docs.google.com/document/d/1IIWIcTMLu6E_hdbeJBf2iKZ1zEC-BK5cr8-Q-6ibVEg/edit?usp=sharing
My question is: technically, can we base Action Mark based on the Bitmark infrastructure?

What’s next?
Since Project Bitmark has already laid much of the ground work. I would love to learn more about it and discuss. May I get an invitation to join your Slack Channel?

At the same time, I am seeking ways to collaborate and create this new experience based value system. One is to work with existing projects and another is to partner up with a technical co-founder.

If you know someone who has the will and skill to take such a project to completion, please let me know. This would be very much appreciated.

Best,
Yang

Hello,

I am an independent author who has written several books based on individual cryptocurrencies.  Please see my Amazon author page:

Amazon (UK): http://www.amazon.co.uk/Mr-Chris-P.-Thompson/e/B00S5L3PVM/ref=ntt_dp_epwbk_0
Amazon (US): http://www.amazon.com/Mr-Chris-P.-Thompson/e/B00S5L3PVM/ref=ntt_dp_epwbk_0

Would the Bitmark community be interested in a book titled "Bitmark - History of the First Year".  If yes, please respond back as soon as you can.  I hope to hear from you very soon.

Christopher P. Thompson

Well that would be an interesting book! With a few BLACKED OUT sections and swear words included.

Bitmark still has the problem of the oscillating difficulty.
This needs to be fixed.
GoldCoin™ (GLD) solved the same issue a year ago:
