Is that single miner still mining the entire supply to himself?

*cough *cough dev team.

No, that is *not* the case any longer.
You can see that the mining is fairly distributed at the moment:

https://chainz.cryptoid.info/btm/#!extraction

and the network's hash rate is about 12 GH/s

Hmm.. yes, it looks like someone has stolen Bitmark's BTM ticker symbol:

https://coinmarketcap.com/assets/bytom/
Quote
Bytom is an interactive protocol of multiple byte assets. Heterogeneous byte-assets (indigenous digital currency, digital assets) that operate in different forms on the Bytom Blockchain and atomic assets (warrants, securities, dividends, bonds, intelligence information, forecasting information and other information that exist in the physical world) can be registered, exchanged, gambled and engaged in other more complicated and contract-based interoperations via Bytom.

stats for Bytom (BTM):
Quote
Market Cap
$112,697,673

Circulating Supply
636,479,880 BTM

Total Supply
1,407,000,000 BTM

and stats for Bitmark (BTM):
Quote
Market Cap
$1,474,513

Circulating Supply
3,901,180 BTM

I don't know if coinmarketcap usually allows coins to use the same ticker symbol, but I can see it is already causing some coin apps to get confused between Bytom and Bitmark.

I think I have a solution though. As can be seen above, the Bytom market cap is over 75 times Bitmarks. And Bytom's price is almost 19 cents while Bitmark's is around 38 cents.  Therefore, I propose a one time payout from Bytom's reserves to Bitmark holders. Bytom would pay 2 Bytom's for every 1 Bitmark held, and in return Bytom gets to have BTM symbol  Grin

Since Bytom has a circulating supply of 636 million, and a total supply of 1.4 billion, they won't miss the 7.8 million coin payout  Cheesy

Bitmark is dead, i was hoping for a revival, but seems like a new coin has already taken the ticker symbol, theres no chance for this coin now.

BTM is alive & well....we are working out the exchange issue, it seems that the problems with Poloniex's support is a global problem.

I understand that the polo wallet issue caused some level of concern....but just so you know, we touch base with Bittrex about twice a week.

Hope to have more regular & possitive updates in coming weeks.

Cheers!

Really happy to hear updates about Bitmark. Not owning much but it looks like good potential for trading. Someone correct me if I'm wrong but currently it's available on Novaexchange and Poloniex, but withdrawals and deposits are disabled on Polo.
Developers, do you thing it will speed up the process if we all open tickets on Polo, or you are already in contact with Polo so it won't make any difference?

I HAVE NEGATIVE FEEDBACK ONLY BECAUSE I AM SELLING/BUYING BITCOINTALK ACCOUNTS. PLEASE CHECK MY FEEDBACK, I NEVER SCAMMED ANYONE.

Yes, Nova Exchange is up and running with Bitmark. Still waiting on re-enabling of deposits and withdrawals on Poloniex, but you can buy Bitmark there (and sell them if you already have them there)

Geez, how long has Poloniex locked up your wallet? What a joke of an exchange. Bittrex would be highly welcome.

Yes, we do have a support ticket open on Poloniex...Ticket has been open for 51 days and counting (status: being processed), and still no response from polo.

Also, I think the newest QT works straight out of the box. Our newest QT can be found at bitmark.io under the downloads section

Hey Bitmark guys - Thanks for responding on the forum here, so no set ETA for when Poloniex will enable deposits for BTM again?

I did start a support ticket, this was their response.

"Thank you for contacting us.

Unfortunately the wallet isn't working properly so we temporarily disabled it.

Please rest assured we are working to have the wallet re enabled soon as possible but currently there is no estimated time when this will happen. Once the wallet is re enabled deposits will credit automatically and withdrawals will be enabled.

Thank you for your patience and we're sorry for the inconvenience.

Sincerely,
Poloniex Support Team"

Hi, I'm from the SuperNet community that is preparing the launch of BarterDex, a cross-chain atomic-swap exchange. I'm not a developer but I follow the ongoing tests of new coins. From what I've been reading Bitmark is one of the coins that needs OP_CheckLockTimeVerify in order to be supported. If the Bitmark team isn't already in contact, they can use the form on the BarterDex website or join SuperNet Slack for detailed info and technical support.
