Here's the thing.  You can say that you're pegged 1 to 1 but if I take 10,000 CANN to the dispensary right now, I will only be allowed to sell 1-3 CANN.  If I could sell say 500 to 20 different dispensaries, that would be a peg.  You can't expect to get it all at one place but you DO have to have an expectation that you can cash it all out.  Allow me to use a different analogy.

Let's say we went back on the gold system in the USA.  The government says for every $1.00 you have, you can go to Ft. Knox and get $1.00 worth of gold.  But when you go to Ft Knox to cash out $100,000 they say they can't because they don't have enough gold for everyone to cash out.  

For a 1 to 1 peg of a coin that will have 100,000,000 coins, in order to have a 1 to 1 peg, you have to have a LOT of dispensaries.  Until I see a plan for getting those dispensaries on board, I'm afraid I can't committ funds.

MyFarm, maybe message D9 or try to catch him in the IRC channel where he frequently hangs out.

Nobody here knows the talks\deals\agreements he is making with dispensaries and what not.  
I understand what you are asking, and what has been told to you wouldn't satisfy my questions either, if you are legitimately interested, you need to take it up with D9.
As much as I love this coin, and everyone here.... they are just talking out of their asses because they do not know the agreements in place.

I like to see how a community responds before I invest in a coin.  And D9 shouldn't give me any inside info anyway, it should all be public.

Yes, this.  Literally enough dispensaries for 100 TONS of weed.  It is a point worth repeating.  Really guys, wrap your head around that number.

It's been a long time since my pot smoking days, but if we say 1 gram = $20, by the time it is fully mined, CANN is aiming for over $2 BILLION market cap.  $2 BILLION USD.

Does this seem like a plausible scenario?

It's plausible if they have a sound plan to get other dispensaries on board.  That's why I'm so interested in this coin.  If they have a sound plan and the means to execute it, I'll buy in big time.  

If not, I'll pass.

People continue to make the market-cap argument relentlessly in this thread, but I believe that it is flawed & this coin truly can have a valuation of 1 billion dollars. Regardless of whether every coin-holder will be able to buy weed with cannabiscoins in the next year, or even if 20% of coin-holders can do that. Marijuana is something that resonates with a lot of people. There are whole cultures and social circles, documentaries, prisoners, books, medicines, scientific research etc. It is in some way involved in the lives of tens of millions of people, and as the dev emphasizes, incredibly important for the many people who use it as a medicine. Now here we are, in the year 2014, at a time where cryptocurrency has been born and legitimized, medical marijuana is sweeping the nation, and recreational marijuana is being legalized and decriminalized. We have a dev who is actually good at acting on his plans, this guy is an achiever. He's networking well, growing medical-grade cannabis in large quantities, and created a cryptocurrency that is currently valued at $3.3 million dollars. Yet this man continues to say that it is all about the patients for them & he is happy to share medicine with them and improve their lives. It is a perfect convergence of events. What I'm saying is, the actual dispensary-market for this coin will initially be relatively small, yes, but we don't need the dev to be shipping 100 tons of pot by the trainload to give this coin a $1B valuation.

Apparently the hype is about the first transaction of one gram of CANNdy weed will be sold for 1 Cannabiscoin which is $6 on the 20th. If it's true, I can't say, one can only wait and see.
