Hello friends and community members. If you hadn't heard, Premine (PMC) is going through some labor pains. Soon PMC will end and from its ashes will rise PMP. If you are not familiar, Premine was the first entirely free 100% giveaway. It was also an experiment to see what will happen after the block subsidy ends and mining must be sustained solely by transaction fees. The experiment will continue on, carrying over what we have learned from PMC into its successor PMP. This time it will be backed by the full force of the PMC community and the community will decide how it lives and how it dies. This is not the Official Announcement for PMP.. This is a Swap Announcement to let you know how and when you can swap your old coins (PMC) over to the new protocol (PMP). We have premined enough coins to cover every single PMC, all though we expect a large portion of these coins to have been lost permanently. A portion of whats left over will be used to fund bounties for development of whatever the community decides is important (chat? anon messaging? you decide!). Afterward whatever is not exchanged will be destroyed publicly. Don't worry if you didn't take part in the first PMC experiment, we premined enough to have a great big giveaway for you too! Just like the first giveaway it will be completely fair and transparent. More details on that in our Launch & Giveaway Announcement. New guidelines: To more closely match the giveaway schedule Swapped coins will be allocated over the next 3 months. With 30% the first month, 30% the second and the final 40% at month 3. This will help protect the currency from whales dumping and allow it to appreciate in value without steady downward pressure. As well, to compensate the reduction in max coins, PMC swapped will be at a reduced rate of 3:1. Please understand your stake % is the exact same amount (i.e. 100/1000 or 10/100, etc).Step 1: Open the old PMC wallet, send all your PMC to the official burn address 1PMCxxxSWAPxxxToxxxPMPxxxXXXUfNchWStep 2: Copy and save your transaction id Step 3: Download our new (temp) PMP wallet https://mega.co.nz/#!XEggxLTJ!zPibDE_PeWxYZSDu4pRv9psf1N6FSOusLBCSdStgL84Step 4: Put the included .conf file in the roaming/PreminePlus directory Step 5: Open the new wallet and copy your new PMP Address Step 6: Message PMCswap with your transaction id and new PMP wallet address (DO NOT POST TX OR WALLET IN THIS THREAD) Step 7: Check the public excel doc later to make sure your transaction amount and PMP address are correct. Step 8: ? ? ? Step 9: PROFIT! The PMC/PMP revival is being managed by myself with help from longtime community members such as kbroadfoot and NulluTo ensure transparency different members are being assigned different tasks. kbroadfoot will be helping with the swap, while Nullu will be helping with the giveaway. The Swap funds will be split up into two pots, 250k will go to kbroadfoot and the other 250k will stay with me. We will take turns paying out the Swap amounts until the Swap period ends. The swap starts now! Don't worry though, we want to make sure no one gets left out so you have three months to swap your PMC. After you submit your tx id and PMP wallet address to the PMCswap user account you will be added to the public excel doc and we will send your new coins.

PreminePlus ( PMP ) will have 1 million coins ( plus another 1 million coins over 5 years in POS rewards ) 2 million theoretical max total ever... however not all coins will be swapped, and therefore some PMP will be publically destroyed... making the true max number of coins somewhat less than 2 million... As of right now there are 1 million PMP of which half will be given away, and half is reserved for swap... Premine ( PMC ) has roughly 499,000 coins We intend to swap as many PMC to PMP as people desire... those coins were freely given out. The other 500k coins of PreminePlus will also be given away in the fairest way we can muster... Everything done will be as transparent as we can get... This continues the original experiment/ideas that creditcoin_CRD came up with with a much improved POS coin... I hope everyone gets involved Here is the swap/burn progress so far: http://cryptexplorer.com/address/1PMCxxxSWAPxxxToxxxPMPxxxXXXUfNchW69 burns paid. Remaining PMP in the swap wallet: 55837.167525 + 250K reserved PLUS 3786.321606 POS reward ( we will deal with this later ) http://cryptexplorer.com/address/PPiyv7zp2uCkvvJ59zKAs7vtNweA96ZYzS ( Swap Wallet ) PMC burned: 194162.832475 ( Percent of total PMC: - 38.91 Percent )

It is, but for you, a special rate of 2:1 PMC to PMP.

Might be worth mentioning that this appears to be a manual process and I suspect there is a reasonable time delay between sending the PMC and seeing it show up on the excel spreadsheet and getting PMP in return.

I think most exchanges show you the withdraw history with corresponding tx id's. We would all prefer you send from your own wallet but as long as you contact us with the right amount and no one else contacts PMCswap before you do then it will be fine. If we get anyone trying to claim someone elses coins we will freak out and start breaking shit.

In case more than one person claims the same tx id, a message signed with the origin address would solve it. Of course, sending from an exchange wouldn't make that possible. So sending from the wallet would be better.

Just a tip for anyone who hasn't swapped yet. The sooner you swap, the more % you will acrue before PoS interest is removed. Its set at 50%/year for the next 6 months!

Yes... TheMightyX has 250k and the 500k ( In case I get hit by a bus or something... ) If I swap all the 250k I have then I will get the rest... We have three months to swap but I am starting to wonder how much will actually be swapped... 7.61 percent of all theoretical PMC has been burned at this point...

Well thank you!
At rate we are going we will not trade all PMC in most likely... I think many of the little gifts of PMC we gave out over the months are probably simply lost...
But the swap will stay on until Oct 1st... ( three months )
Then the leftover swap PMC will have to be dealt with.... I want to offer bounties for a block explorer, games, listing fee for Atomic-Trade perhaps, maybe for Poloniex....
We need input from the PMP community on these things...
I am pretty sure we can give away all 500k PMC from the giveaway PMP fund.... should we save the remaining swap PMP fund for bounties, bribes? At what point to we say we are done and destroy the remaining swap PMP?
Input needed!
( Obviously we are still waiting for the ANN for PMP itself, this only being the SWAP ANN )

Yes the left over could be used for bounties, or listing fees, or Bounties for services (games and so on) which accept PMP then. But why not try to get a listing on Bittrex, Mintpal, BTER, Cryptsy? We need input from the PMP community on these things...

Input needed!
( Obviously we are still waiting for the ANN for PMP itself, this only being the SWAP ANN )
Think there are plenty of things the remaining PMP could be spent on to build up sth. Rarity alone doesn't give real value to a coin and destroying only has a one time effect.

I propose this then: We create a PreminePlus Foundation...
We put a few folks in this community on it... perhaps by a nominal donation to the Foundation Funds... The on October 1st the remaining swap PMC roll into that fund... no coins are destroyed...
This foundation will by votes, decide on future charitable donations, projects, bounties, listings etc etc...
The excess swap PMC will be the biggest contributor... in a weird way PMC will be funding the foundation by default...
( That is unless it is such an huge amount it spooks our regular PMP people, perhaps we match funds then destroy, who knows )

Is the new wallet stuck at block 1001?
setgenerate=true doesn't generate any blocks anymore, and pointing some mining gear towards the wallet only generates rejects...

What do you mean 250k reserved? Just waiting in another wallet?
Yes, we were going to take turns swapping and I didn't think it safe to share a wallet file between us. Seems there are a lot less people swapping than we anticipated (most people probably still don't know), so kbroadfoot hasn't tagged me in for a swap shift. Most likely once the new Launch/Giveaway ANN is up and the word starts spreading, people that were holding PMC will find out about the swap that way. This is why its important to not arbitrarily close the swap window on them. Wow, I'm away for half a day and there's a million comments.

I sent you a link to the github like 3 days ago -_-
Put that link on the ANN for the coin.... ( of course )... On this Swap ANN? Its got the ugly wallet though http://github.com/themightyx/premineplusHappily mining blocks in the network, waiting for POS to kick in!
PoS runs in parallel until PoW blocks end Theres a bunch of empty PoW blocks left in there so that I could mine the tx fees (I like round numbers) but then everyone decided to start mining them

Caught up 7.61 percent of all PMC burned already.. P.S I AM accepting tips... look to my signature line... ( I only have like 250 pmc ) I lost a few in a crash... 18 burns paid Remaining PMP in the swap wallet: 212013.244732 + 250K reserved ( Until we get a block explorer this is the best I can do ) PMC burned: 37995.75521727 ( Percent of total PMC: - 7.61 Percent ) I added a new column to the excel doc that automatically calculates how many PMC have been burned. This way people can cross-reference the excel doc with the Burn address to verify the amounts are the same.

The amounts will be very close... not counting transaction fees and sometimes a little rounding due to the wallet not going as many decimals deep as the PMC burn addresses can.

I think that many of the PMC community members haven't been checking the PMC thread lately and so don't even know about the SWAP or revival plans. Hopefully we will have a steady stream of people going back to find their old PMC wallets for the trade in once the word gets out. All though, its better for everyone if a small amount of PMC is swapped I'd like to have a round-table discussion soon on the specifics of the PMC destruction and bounty allotment. I've got some ideas I'd like to share.

( That is unless it is such an huge amount it spooks our regular PMP people, perhaps we match funds then destroy, who knows )
I am of the mindset that the more development funding a project can get the better off it will be. That being said there is also major concern for oversaturating the market with funds as every single coin that is paid out in bounties will eventually be sold back into the market. To play the devils advocate though, those funds were already scheduled to be swapped and so they would have entered the market anyway. Definitely much to discuss on that front. It's important to solidify that we won't be doing anything that our community is opposed to.

Let's make a mental note to enter only up to the 6th decimal place in the excel doc so everything lines up. It seems I got block 1002: So is that 2nd PoS? Are PoS coins given as an exact percentage of stake? or to whomever finds the block? I'm not sure I understand the questions. PoS staking rewards you a percentage of your coins based on total coin age. Our protocol has a max coin age of 30 days. If you wait 30 days before staking you will receive 6% ( 50% / 12 months ) interest. If you wait 15 days you will get 3%. I forgot to set reservestake=X in my .conf file yesterday and accidentally staked the premine and got roughly 3400 PMP (Looks like we have our first bounty amount!). Won't make that mistake again.

PoW algo is irrelevant as its 100% PoS. There is no PoW phase (there are a handful of PoW blocks for mining tx fees but they are empty). Unlike other coins that claim to be 100% PoS but have 1 or 2 week PoW phases where people instamine and cloudmine. Our distribution will be fair and uniform. The base coins PoW algo was scrypt though.

It seems my wallet is still stuck at block 1002.
It shows 3 active connections to PMP Network.
And since 1.03 pm yesterday there are coins in stake mode and POS interest is waiting for more confirmations.
Is the PMP network really working? POS only?

Yes, I am getting that error whenever I try and do anything in the debug log... so for now I am running it and leaving debug log alone... To restart the wallet you may have to delete this: "Also maybe delete the "boost_interprocess" folder in your C:/programData folder (windows 7)." TMX mentioned he was having some issues... and they will be fixed next release...

ATTENTION LINUX GURUS! Using this: https://github.com/TheMightyX/PreminePlusAnd this: "I had to modify the premineplus-qt.pro file (following this http://pw999.wordpress.com/2013/09/29/compiling-memecoin-qt-on-xubuntu/) to make it work and then it successfully built doing qmake-qt4 and then qmake " _CR_ built the PMP wallet for Ubuntu... ( If you don't know who _CR_ is, he is the guy who found and squashed the Original PMC bug where it restarted the block rewards when they hit zero. A bug that affects even Bitcoin *way in the future, though* )

It's important to clarify that is for Ubuntu and for the wallet GUI. If you just need the daemon (block explorers, pools, exchanges) no mods are necessary. For debian just build as normal (don't forget to add the /obj folder to /src/ manually) run the makefile and make some coffee. You can pretty much follow your build tutorial of choice but Compiling_the_Litecoin_daemon_from_source_on_Debian is straightforward and easy, should take roughly 5-10 mins. If you want a more in-depth guide to setting up your build environment on linux and downloading some things manually you can use this guide

We are working on getting them to announce the swap so that more people know about it. As well they should be able to switch the amounts from the old coin to the new coin fairly easily. All they need to do is send us the total amount of PMC on their servers and we can send them the corresponding PMP amount.

It 'looks' good. It sees addresses on the chain... it even sees the correct number of blocks... but the values returned are all wrong... There is something wrong I think... 10047.93414808 <<<< This number for outstanding coins is way way low.... should be 1,000,000 + POS rewards... Or perhaps 1010047.93141808? It knows what addresses are on the network but the values in those addresses are wrong as well... something simple must be off... Here is the API for the new explorer: http://cryptexplorer.com/chain/PreminePlus/qThis is the call to see what is in the swap wallet: http://cryptexplorer.com/chain/PreminePlus/q/addressbalance/PPiyv7zp2uCkvvJ59zKAs7vtNweA96ZYzSThis shows: 0.0000001 This WAY WAY off.....

Here is the swap/burn progress so far: http://blockchain.premineco.in/address/1PMCxxxSWAPxxxToxxxPMPxxxXXXUfNchW29 burns paid. Remaining PMP in the swap wallet: 184819.401106 + 250K reserved PLUS 1067.116434 POS reward ( we will deal with this later ) ( The block explorer does not show the proper amount in a wallet address because POS creates new addresses and transactions, however you can look up transaction id's and check to see if the transaction was sent. I will add all those ID's when I have some time ) PMC burned: 65189.59876218 ( Percent of total PMC: - 13.06 Percent )

Great! So is it possible to post the premine adresses etc? Not exactly... You can see that the swap address had 250000 coins sent to it, but becuase is staked a few times the actuall address does not have those coins in it at all now... they are returned to other addresses that the swap wallet wallet.dat keeps track off.. I can show the transaction ID's of the sent coins... POS coins behavior is different than pure POW coins... I will think on it and try again to be as transparent as possible... COMMUNITY: The fellow who made our block explorer deserves a 'Bounty'. Is anyone opposed to me sending all the coins I staked POS to him? That would amount to 1067 PMP.... Please give me your feelings about this... EDIT: candidakefyr has messaged me and DECLINED the bounty offer... I think he wants us to use it to further other PMP projects... That doesn't mean you still can't tip him

I just Sent PMC to burn addy, well it's from poloniex. I hope it wouldn't be a problem. ......I think there is no problem at all, because I already have the Tax ID so seems it's go well if some of community send the PMC from the exchanger.

The only problem is if more than one person claim to be sender of the same transaction ID. If you send from an exchange, there's no way to sign a message to verify it. I don't think that will happen, but there's a risk.

I know some of you have sent PMC to the Burn address and have not seen it on the PMC blockchain..
The blockchain is frozen at the moment, we need to mine it..
Maardien, who has been kind enough to keep his asics pointed at PMC, will need to turn them back on again... Or any of you with an asic could you please get the chain started back up?
I probably could arrange for some compensation in the form of PMP... we need to keep this chain running at least till the end of September...
Please message me.

to everyone who is trying to send PMC. open up the console and type setgenerate true 1, hit enter and leave your wallet open for the day. It's not going to use up any electricity and it will help get your transactions through.

Here is the API for the new explorer: http://cryptexplorer.com/chain/PreminePlus/qThis is the call to see what is in the swap wallet: http://cryptexplorer.com/chain/PreminePlus/q/addressbalance/PPiyv7zp2uCkvvJ59zKAs7vtNweA96ZYzSThis shows: 0.0000001 This WAY WAY off..... decimals just weren't in the right place. It was set up for 8 decimals but PMP is 6. Just had to move the decimals to the right 2 spaces. 10,047.93414808 becomes 1,004,793.414808

Great! So is it possible to post the premine adresses etc? Certainly. It's in the new ANN but here is it again: PAbj1uc6eFiQwipeCDyBBpQgptRYs1JWmpThis is the genesis address. 250k were sent to kbroadfoot: PPiyv7zp2uCkvvJ59zKAs7vtNweA96ZYzSThen you can watch his cascading transactions because he didn't figure out how to use the new coin control features yet (you can set your 'change address' so that the left over funds are sent back to your previous address, or whatever address you would like)

"i want to exchange my 300 PMC to PMP. how to do this? also will we still have same exchanges [ie poloniex] ?"
We are doing 1:1 PMC to PMP...
I WILL swap your coins. IF I 'Live' everything will be fine... But: I am in fight of my life... and I am the 'liberal'.
My personal feelings and the DEV's differ in this issue. I love my PMC peeps... a full year of bvelieving and now they will be PMP rich...
So what..... They did not hold PMC just to dump...
I will fight fight FOR you, PMC holders.....

Is there still an IRC channel? Seems BCT's messaging system is (apart from live pigeons) the worst possible medium to discuss this stuff.

Hey all you PMC swappers!
We have some rich PMP holders now, rich because you believed in PMC and held onto your coins... Well, GOOD FOR YOU!
However, it is also rich enough to perhaps discourage some of the new folks that will be coming on board with the new giveaway...
So lets see some pledges of PMP to ADD to this coming giveaway....
If I see enough pledges I will ask the Giveaway Devs to make a special address for you to donate too... These coins WILL be distributed...
( Remember how PMC began? We are doing it again... but this time with a superior coin! )

I have to agree, this coin is technically excellent... We just need to get it 'out there' to the people and get some services... One good exchange, some games... poker etc... Cold wallet, android wallet maybe When someone wins the prize for the 'look' of the coin, I will get some t-shirts made ... Seriously... This is technically a good coin... eventually when it starts staking for transaction fees it will be one of a kind...

This is really bad. There have to be a minimum mandatory TX fee for PMP so this canot happen with PMP and there is a uaranteed amount of fees in each transaction.

Attention rich PMP holders: ( Those of you that believed in PMC, held the coin, and took advantage of the swap )
You are the stewards of PreminePlus. We need you to be be believers yet again... We need you to remember where we came from and be generous again. We need you to hold, as you have done already, and let us build this coin into something special.
You are now staking. You see how smooth and wonderful this coin really is... You, as much as I or TheMightyX, or Maardien or anyone who has been on this long road with Premine, are JUST as important to the success of this coin.
Soon we will be creating a 'PreminePlus Foundation'. I would like you to donate to or even join that foundation....
If you have any ideas that can help, lets hear them...
Here is what we need:
1) A SOLID exchange. One we can buy PMP for the multipool from... Poloniex would be great as hashcows uses it. But Bittrex might even be better.
2) A faucet... TMX and I can initially fill up a faucet, but more donations would be good once it is up and running..
3) Games... ( I dream of PMP texas holdem )
4) A nice logo ( I want to make t-shirts, you need to make a great logo. There is a bounty for that )
Again, you rich PMP holders are the stewards of PMP... the 600+ folks on this next giveaway will not hold near what some of you hold... and that is okay. They didn't try for over a year to make PMC work... you all did.... But we need to be welcoming and assure them it is all good...
Aloha!

so when is the full launch ?
The swap lasts until Oct 1st ( about 74 more days ). The first giveaway round happens August 1st... We 'should' be listed on Poloniex prior to that... After that, each month more coins will be given away. each month in fact until all are distributed before 2015. We will probably have extra swap coins and some staked coins from those piles left over... those will ALSO be given away, or bountied. 100 percent distribution is the goal... all of it.... every damn coin + whatever staked... The only coins I hold and the rest of the devs are PMC ( PremineCoin ) we held prior and swapped... I feel good about this because the folks who held PMC even while it dropped in price have proven to us they believed in the original concept and I hope will continue to believe and not manipulate the market.... The experiment started by creditcoin_CRD continues...

Yes, but PMP will be PoS, and PMC was PoW. This is a difficult to implement change, and requires much more programming than just starting a new coin. Since funds were low, we decided on the latter.

There was only polo and they wanted to kick PMC out. From this point of view we need a new exchange anyway, or polo adds PMP later.

It is, but for you, a special rate of 2:1 PMC to PMP. I swaped my coins 1:1. TheMightyX has it confirmed. If you now change the swapratio 3:1 i call this a SCAM

This are no rumors. There is a new guideline in the OP. New guidelines: To more closely match the giveaway schedule Swapped coins will be allocated over the next 3 months. With 30% the first month, 30% the second and the final 40% at month 3. This will help protect the currency from whales dumping and allow it to appreciate in value without steady downward pressure. As well, to compensate the reduction in available giveaway coins to the new community, PMC swapped will be at a reduced rate. (the giveaway allotment for month 1 was originally 250,000, then reduced to 80,000)

There is only one solution. I asked for the swapratio and TheMightyX has confirmed 1:1. I bought more PMC coins at poloniex for the price of 0.00006 BTC. And now with the new swapratio the price was 0.00018. I don't spend my PMPs for the sockpuppets in the giveawaylist. (I found more then 20 puppets in less then 10 minutes). You can't change the rules in the middle of the game. If i don't get what i paid for, I call it SCAM.

This will cause a big loss in trust into PMP especially from the ones who held PMC or bought PMC for the swap process. The early swappers also might lose stake interest they earned for keeping their wallets open.

What do you call something like that? Explain the people, who decided that and how did that come about?

Yes i have received, but I only noticed four days later. I don't take time to read the endless messages of TMX. For sure TMX can explaine to all why he has not make a official announcement of this changing. I know the first part of his message. I'm waiting of a official statement in this thread. Otherwise i will open a thread with a scam accusation. edit: @ yogibaer Es geht mir nicht um die Coins. I want to apologize to everyone affected by this unilateral decision by TMX...
I did NOT choose this, in fact I strenuously argued against it...
1) I do NOT feel rich PMC holders are detrimental to PMP.. in fact I think they are the strength of the future of PMP
2) I DID NOT I repeat DID NOT roll back the transactions.... in fact I was gifted PMP from some swappers for my efforts ( Only 100 PMP ) and that transaction was rolled back as well... )
3) I quit... I QUIT unless something changes... i.e. WE GO BACK TO THE PLAN...
I am sure someone will take over the swap... I am NOT LIKED by the 'powers that be' for not being in agreement...
I did my part... accurately, with regular updates.... I was proud of the PMC holders that participated... and NOW I AM HELPLESS. I do not have any PMP to give out.... ONLY TMX has them....
On that note... even if I was re-given PMP to give out I would STILL HONOR THE ONE TO ONE SWAP RATIO.... So I doubt I will be invited back...
I am sorry folks... I really am...
So, I will slip quietly away now...
Please leave me the fuck alone.... send your complaints to TMX....

Thank your for forwarding, I really don't see why I got no PM and thus no chance to give my vote for the updated system. I am really angry that this was done so sloppy and hastly. And now I am left with a third of what was promised for the coins I sent in? Really great work.

I knew that TMX was an asshole all the time. I'm sorry for all the guys believed in PMC/PMP, but now I can tell You what I think about PMP: It won't have any success. It got nothing new, no inovations, no dev able to prog something, no services, nothing. All coins given away will be dumped on a third class exchange, because none of the big four exchanges will list this crap. If anyone had seen a value in PMP, he bought at Polo, but the volume was less than 0.2 BTC over the last four weeks. I'm saying this as a very early adopter of PMC and would like to thank all the guys involved in this coin, especially kbroadfoot, who tried everything to revive the coin tho he was'nt there from the beginning. Not to forget Nullo with his rewarding script and EcuaMobi for his mobile app. I worked a bit behind the scenes. Bought PMC in bad times, donated some to many many people (that 250 PMC to some ppl was me) and helped to get the wallet done with 0.2 BTC, tho I knew, the coin would fail. For me the coin died here and now. One last thing: If You want to cross TMX's plans, I could push PMC to nirvana by putting 50+TH on it. Coins are worthless anyway. TMX would had to deal with many people beeing not so happy

TMX would had to deal with many people beeing not so happy I think PMP had or even has a chance... but it can't survive forks, transaction reversals, changes of plans etc... I really believed that. I also believed the STRENGTH of PMP was the PMC people who stuck it out until now.... yes, the RICH people who swapped.... That was the rub... TMX thought the rich people would just dump and ruin the coin... I argued the exact opposite... This coin was innovative in the sense it grew out of the original innovation created by creditcoin_CRD i.e "why not simply premine it all and give it away". AND it was to move to a "staking fortransaction fees" model, which also would have been one of a kind... But there is NO WAY PMP will survive someone who keeps changing plans in mid step. I thought I made this 100 percent clear as vodka, but apparently my opinion counts for NOTHING.... so thats it...

Sad to see PMC end like this. This is not what this nice concept deserved. The dev needed the community to raise funds for creating the wallet and once its done the community should follow his terms.Nice one

An aside: Take a look at this: http://latium.cc/?a_aid=53c69178eb5b5 ( yes it is a referral link ) A new POS coin with a very unusual distribution method: i.e. Network Marketing... ( please use my referal link, or not ) The idea is to reward those who spread the word. ( it is FREE however ) The remain coins after the distribution period will be destroyed.. They are already on Bittrex... It took awhile but I see the wisdom in this... targeting network marketers to spread the coin...

Wow, not sure where to start with all these spirited, but misguided, messages.
I'll try to clear up the FUD in one post but before I do I'd like to say a few things.hey Bergman? fuck you, I'll get to your post last. Please note I do not follow this thread though so I'm sorry if my responses seem a bit late. Any single one of you could have contacted me via BTCtalk or talked to me on the IRC which I've had open and online for the past 2-3 weeks, 24/7. instead of whining and causing FUD which will end up hurting everyone, including yourself.
EcuaMobi, I've already apologized to you. Benezivas, I am deeply sorry for not including you in the newsletter. The reason for this is quite simple. You "redacted your name by request" in the swap excel list. I took the user list directly from the Swap list (hence the spelling mistake in iGoodw1n's name prevented him from getting the first newsletter, and the case sensitive issue preventing EcuaMobi from getting both the first and the second). Even EcuaMobi, who got neither newsletter, though condemning the lack of communication, has grudgingly admitted it was the right thing to do given the situation. Even Yogibaer, who is a pretty vocal supporter of a 1:1 swap ratio, after hearing what I'm about to tell you now agrees with the course of action.
And the situation was my fault, yes. It was a lack of oversight which I am trying to correct. This lack of oversight caused all PMC holders to get 3x their initial agreed upon amount. Heres what happened and heres why your 3:1 swap is actually the same amount as the 1:1 we initially agreed upon.
From the original plan that was presented, may 26. Bolded/red relevant part.
The idea was not to grant any existing PMC holders any NEW PMC, just exchanging their current PMC1 for PMC2 so they could continue on. This was to make it fair for new members joining the community. Most people here have less than 500 PMC. As well, we can also see that the value of PMC will be diluted initially. The max coins of PMC1 is 500,000. Where as PMC2's max coins will have to be as high as 1.5 to 2 million.
That was part of the original plan I presented to the community and we agreed upon. When I said 1:1 it came with the original understanding that they (new community) would get 1 or 1.5 million. If we reduce their share we have to reduce our share to keep the ratio intact, or else we are just fucking stealing.
We would set aside 500k for us, and 1 or 1.5 million for them. We've now cut down the max coins, effectively reducing their share from 1 or 1.5 million to 500,000 (but not reducing our own at all!) oops! This is a 50% or 66.66% reduction (a 2:1 or 3:1 ratio).
500k of 1.5 or 2 million is 33.33% or 25%, this was our Premine for swapping. That was the deal I presented, that's where your 1:1 comes from. You get 1:1 if they get 1.5 or 2 million. Rather than inconvenience them with upping the max coins and causing panic for 800 people. I thought I could rely on the PMC community to be mature, understand the facts and reduce their coins to fix the issue.
Heres the key, I need you to follow this very closely: Whether you get 7000 PMP (1:1) of 2 million max coins (500k swap/1.5m giveaway) or 2300 PMP (3:1) of 666.66k (166.6k swap/ 500k giveaway) You are getting the EXACT SAME AMOUNT OF COINS PROPORTIONAL TO THE MAX COINS! If you have 12,000 PMP of 2 million or 4,000 PMP of 666.66k you still have 0.006% of all coins!!! Your number of coins doesn't matter! Your stake is exactly the same!
What you don't seem to understand is if we keep the 1:1 swap and reduce the max coins for them but not for us, then that 1:1 is actually not 100% of your coins, because we reduced the max coins not-proportionally, 1:1 is actually 300% stake.
Heres the basic math for you again: 500k swap / 1.5m giveaway = .33 166.66 swap / 500k giveaway = .33 500k swap / 500k giveaway = 1 (three times the original agreed upon amount)
Yes I should have noticed the error sooner, should that have changed your mind? No, because you are getting the same amount of coins you are supposed to get, regardless of the max coins. So thats the deal, theres your proof.
Why did I make this ridiculously easy mistake? see:
Could everyone stop with all the "we need to ... " and instead start doing that?
I agree. I think TheMightyX should just start the development of a new POS coin with 1.000.000 premined coins. I would also suggest having a mandatory transaction fee of at least 0.0001PMC+. We can discuss how the premined coins will be distributed during development. This is where the 1,000,000 million number came from, it was meant to be changed later and I got busy with so many other things I forgot all about it. The only number that was really important to my designs was the ratio of swap to giveaway coins. and because I forgot all about changing the 1,000,000 to 2,000,000 the natural solution was not to panic the 800 new people and change it on the PMC side. Thanks for everyone freaking the fuck out though, thats doing wonders for the coin. If anyone even thinks of uttering the words "we deserve 1:1" after all of this, I will go batshit insane. You are getting the same damn amount of stake, because we've reduced the max coins by the same amount we've reduced your stupid coins. I'll cross-post in the launch thread.

I'm not sure what you are referring to? I've already proven that no one is losing anything, whether you had 1200 then and only 400 now, all coins were reduced. Everyone gets the same % of stake that they had before the reduction... I thought that was quite clear. Why would I give back PMC? that doesn't make sense. First of all I can't, as its been burned, second of all why would I even if I could? And why would there be a PMPx? I think maybe you missed the point dude Also, funny thing I found... hey Benezivas, do you remember this? I don't want to sound like a greedy hoarder that is fearing for the wealth of his coins, but I am a little concerned about giving away 250k coins in a short amount of time. You have to take into account that without enough people claiming these coins, this might result in few people getting a lot of coins, thus automatically lowering the base value of the coin.
Don't get me wrong, I am all for giving away all the coins in a reasonable amount of time, but this time we should ensure a wider spread of the coins and especially aim at growing the community.
so... it would have been all right to give 250k coins to ourselves in the unfair swap, in a short period of time, but not to the new community ? It seems it would be safer to give 250k to 800+ people, than it is to give 250k to 40 or so people. Also, is +800 members in the first month enough growth?

Thank you TheMightyX, it's clear now. And thanks for your work.
Now that thinks are clearer, I really think we can continue on this. We just need to work together and communicate better.
So, are we continuing this? TheMightyX? kbroadfoot? quasimodo?
I see my name in the swap excel list is equamobi instead of EcuaMobi (note the problem is not the case, but a 'q' instead of a 'c').

yes, I forgot to change the max coins back. The coin source that loljosh generated for us had 1 million max coins. As I requested, and as was suggested to "just get it" by maardien. As I've mentioned, I got busy with other aspects of the project and forgot/didn't realize we had cut down the giveaway coins by 3:1 without reducing our swap amount until much later. This must look so easy to you? like I just press some "make cryptocoin" button and voila! and then I speak to my computer, and it magically designs custom graphics for our threads and our wallet, etc? and I have a big team of people answering messages and contacting community members? You have no fucking idea. But you do know you deserve more. Yes, Quasimodo the great, deserves more for his imaginary tokens. More than what? he doesn't know! he just knows he deserves MORE! You really can't stop singing this one song can you? It's over quasi. Get this through your head, your thick, thick head. You do NOT get special treatment. We will NOT be cutting down the giveaway coins for the new community by 3:1 without reducing our own swap amount. If we do this, it amounts to us taking a 50% premine.Where does this merry-go-round end for you? You keep bugging me? I eventually give up and give you 3x the coins everyone else gets? really? you think we should get a 50% premine? Is that what constitutes fair in your warped little mind?

As I called ThemightyX an asshole, I even didn't know, that he reset the blockchain. Doesn't surprise me at all to be honest. Spoke to people missing coins, that should be swapped and disappeared due to the reset. One guy swapped over 5k and all he got was insults and threats by TMX. Well, imho it doesn't really matter, if someone got coins or not, since PMC/PMP is as dead as it can be.

If you are referring to quasimodo, he swapped 7k and he deserves more than just insults from me for being an utter asshole and being detrimental to the project. Everyone will get their first batch of coins, as mentioned previously and in the newsletter I sent out. Unfortunately I've been too busy dealing with quasimodos bullshit to send out the first batch. So those people can thank him for that. This is from the last newletter I sent out to the 24 ppl I had on my list. Sorry again for the lack of communication. I can be reached in the IRC channel if anyone has any thoughts/concerns/suggestions as well as on BTCtalk. As far as I know, I'm going to be going ahead with sending out 30% of everyones swap funds starting tomorrow. -TMX
According to your line of reasoning I'm just stealing everyones coins. Yes I put that much effort and work into this only to shoot it in the leg before it even starts. Yes that's my brilliant plan. The rollback was so we could implement these changes before the giveaway, because after that point we would not be able to make changes. And if we went ahead with the giveaway and this problem wasn't fixed, everything I've worked so hard on would be for nothing. We would have an unfair currency that was doomed for failure. Why is that so hard to understand. Some would risk destroying everything, just to have more. Its very easy to decide to make foolish risks on something you've put absolutely no work into. but thanks for the wild accusations, that's really doing wonders for everyone. Because everyone knows, if you can't have your way, you might as well wreck it for everyone right?

I'm not happy with the changes but since I know why the changes had to be done I can accept this and undestand the step. Can we all go back to topic and look forward to make PMP something better than PMC was?
That'd be great!
anyway, we have nothing to lose right now ...

Because everyone knows, if you can't have your way, you might as well wreck it for everyone right?
Do what You like, TheMightyX, but better rename to TheMightyXIV, the Sun King. I'm out anyway, like many old followers of PMC, too.

I collect your insults. I may still need them.

Dear community, I will leave you and your esteemed leader. I'll turn back to my precious coins and my real life. (Yes, I have a real life). I take what I get without accepting the decision. TMX is now on my ignore list. Since he does not even come with the most primitive rules of decency and civility, there is no need to communicate with him even longer. His leadership style and his strategy in solving problems have shown me the future of PMP and I will follow with pleasure the failure of PMP. I'm sure TMX will make me then responsible. As an early supporter PMC I find it a shame what has become of the former Spirit. Every community gets the leader it deserves. I wish you good luck, you will need it. But that will not save PMP. PS: I know that you believe you have won TMX, but you all have lost.

https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=673760.msg8035354#msg80353542 Announcements:
Updated main page with new stable wallet release (July 23rd) for Windows And New Mac OSX wallet (courtesy of DrMotz). You can donate a few PMP to him to say thanks! (PVXjpQy4r7GzQht1Pkfxpq4sVfYgKY8SRG)
Yogibaer has taken over as swap manager. I have already sent him the entirety of the swap funds. He has started sending out month 1 swap funds. Make sure your client is up to date. For reference the Swap address is PRDri392MmNaau3cy3iiqZPm99FWCG9TRe
Will update main thread images soon with the proper breakdown amounts, to get us back to the proper and fair ratio. I have contacted Nullu about handing over the giveaway funds. Waiting on a response. Afterwards the community can feel secure, knowing that I won't be holding the majority of everyones coins.
As TheMightyX said, I will start sending out the swapped funds for the 1st month now. Please watch out the OP for further information. Thanks!

What about coins that will be swapped from now on? If I send in new coins now, do I still get the 30% right away?

What about coins that will be swapped from now on? If I send in new coins now, do I still get the 30% right away? Good question! We didn't talk about the rules for new swaps and I do not send out new swapped PMP unless we have rules for that. I'd suggest 30% immediately and the rest in month 2 and 3. edit: I only have access to the swap funds and the swap-excel list. New swaps will enter the list through a message to PMCswap. I don't have access to this account!

Well, I've sent my coins with all the info, let's see if it catches up. EDIT: I don't see it on the blockchain yet :/ EDIT2: Well, looks like I am that much behind as the last block was indeed mined about 23 hours ago.

Volume @ 47.35065633 BTC in the last 24 hours... get in now...

Ok. I'll wait. Hi Achaloff I saw your transaction. I don't like the fact you are using a sockpuppet but regardless I'll get to your swap when I have a moment. On another note, maardien said in a PM he is leaving town for a couple weeks. You better start mining those blocks yourself. With a cpu you might mine 1 block a day. If your transaction went stale then you might need to rescan your blockchain to get the funds back or else re-broadcast the tx. Don't worry, they haven't been lost.

I do not understand what you mean by that - "...are using a sockpuppet"? I sent my PMC to the specified address, In blockchain you can see my transaction, what problems??

I mean you created a new account to hide your identity? I thought that was quite clear. Or should we assume this 3 post account you just created 3 days ago is your one and only BTCtalk account?

Yes, I created an account recently, but so what? Or do you need my passport details? As I think anonymity distinguishes all cryptocoins. I fulfilled all the conditions, and I do not understand, that suspicious?

Even PM'ed TMX who told me yogi would do it, but I have yet to see any coins. The whole project seems to become a stillbirth at this rate of response.

Once again, I don't have access to the PMPswap messages! I can only access the swap list. Once the swap list is updated and the new swaps are added (TMX, I think this is your job, since I don't have access to PMPswap messages!) I will send the swapped PMP!

Let me check, blockchain is down/not syncing. Transactions will go through in a moment. Hmm, blockexplorer is down as well. Can someone fix that? Hope he reads this thread...

yes I informed TMX about that long ago, then a swapper suggested the cryptexplorer and a few days later cryptexplorer.com domain completely disappeared.

How? gettransaction <txid> doesn't work here .... You need to download the full blockchain to do that. If you start the QT with the -txindex command, it should work.

Hopefully this all gets fixed soon before something crazy happens. I don't like the idea of my coins being stuck some place i have no control over.

When your TX is confirmed your coins are burned. only the burn adress and the TX id can't be checked easily now! I try what maardein suggested today and reindex the blockchain ....

It just makes it more difficult to confirm transactions. Just make sure you got some confirms on the coins you've sent.

Is it even worth mining tx fees with 1 or 2 antminers?

I hope soon! Send poloniex an email if you want to ask them to list us again, it might help to add some requests.

You can download the latest PMP wallet here: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=673760.0

You may try setgenerate true in the console and mine blocks.

You may try setgenerate true in the console and mine blocks. Mine syncs fine, so I think nodes are his problem. Try adding addnode=thenodeslist.com

Well, that's bad. Right now I can't do anything. We have a dilemma here. If we opened the swap for you again we would have to open it for everyone again. But in the beginning we decided to have a 3 month swap window, which we think was long enough.

But in the beginning we decided to have a 3 month swap window, which we think was long enough. We can't just restart the swap every now and then. Compared to some other coins with swap windows of 24h or 48h 3 months is like forever. I am also not planning on restarting mining. I have been the only miner for like 6 months or so, it has cost me enough time/power.
