Whats going on with the blockchain? Is it dead?

Not at all.
This old KORE wallet gets stuck from time to time.
This problem does not exist in the new wallet.
Leave it staking 24/7 if you could and you will receive all the stakes you are supposed to.
Sorry for the inconvenience, hopefully it won't be too much longer.

MikeMike

The Bittrex wallets says "The last block update occurred 2746 minutes ago" and my desktop wallet has been hung up on block 411069 from about the same time. It has been over a day! I could not stake now if I wanted to, and I do want to!
Update, it is working now just in last couple of min so if you did something it worked!

It is unfortunate we all have to deal with this from time to time.
Rest assured it frees up as long as we all keep the wallet staking.
The more that stake the less time it hangs.
Enjoy the rest of your weekend!

Okay not sure what the hell is going on with this coin but I know that after the wallet started working on bittrex and my desktop yesterday I sent 386.79777800 kore from bittrex to my wallet. When I got up today it was still unconfirmed so I closed the wallet and restarted to sync it. When it started it 7 hours ago it was still show my tx as unconfirmed but now it is still syncing (last block 11 hours ago) but my tx has disappeared and my coins are just gone! all the other tx show in history tab but the last one is just gone- TxId: 2fe515f8790994f5ae3a610921d158e15d5dfdde02c241317c5a69c6e28d535e

This old KORE wallet is buggy to say the least.
Rest assured your coins will show eventually and if they don't I will make good for them.
Try now but also when the chain is moving better enter "repairwallet" in the console.
Keep your wallet staking 24/7 if possible.

Hard to stake with no coins

Your coins should have showed since the chain moved.
If not run "repairwallet".
PM me your address too so I can send you a few extra coins.

In other news I haven't been around the last month as my Bittrex account got hacked and lost multiple BTC, had enough of crypto for a while. Luckily I dont keep all my coins on exchanges I guess  ; /

If anyone in KORE community wants to help me out and buy 1 or 2k KORE @ 10000 sat  (above market I know) it would help me out and get me back in the trading game again, dont worry I still have plenty of KORE to keep staking. Or maybe VIOR if your interested? Thanks send me a PM if you want to help

wow, almost a year. Just getting back in the crypto game (good timing for the msg MM). Are the plans to have a new POW period of mining? Then I think we should go for something ASIC resistant, maybe have a look at what vertcoin are using, more miners = a more decentralized currency = what we want. If we are still being POS then aslong as the blockchain is small and wallet doesnt use many PC resources that would be great.

Almost sounds like you have used the new wallet MM! how exciting.

Are we still using the voip wallet from a year ago? acting a bit weird syncing, but thats normal i guess hehe.

I can do bootstraps again soon, and also help with some social media if needed in the future (no i dont have any old login details).

I still have an old domain www.kore.rocks registered if anyone wants to run a faucet etc but doesnt have hosting send me a pm and we can try and get it running. I will try and utilise it one day myself, or atleast run a backup site once we have a new one.

Still running my own business and had 2nd child in November so i'm very busy, PM quickest way to get me.

Congrats to your Family on the new little one and welcome back!

Thanks for your input and willingness to help where you can.
Our old decision was a PoW only and GPU resistant which there really isn't any.
IF people want to spend the resources to make an effective GPU miner they will.
IF people deem it financially viable they will create an FPGA and eventually ASIC.
With recent advancements to fix the holes in PoS mining this seems to be the
decision we are leaning towards but have more meetings to go before it is final.

Go here to the KORE Support thread for the latest peers file with 15 connections
and will chat with you there in PM on all the rest and more.

A full release of the escrow coins has been sent to MikeMike, with permission from the 3 signers needed from the original escrow agreement.  As I no longer do escrow due to the increasing scrutiny and red tape around crypto, this will be my final involvement with the Kore project.

This is to confirm the entire KORE amount in escrow had been received plus staking payouts.
A tip in the amount of 2000 KORE coins had been sent to cooldgamer for their surpassing
professional escrow service these few years and for holding onto them much
longer than they had liked.
Best to you in all your endeavors!

Just lots of people who think they can make a quick buck.
Soon as they buy they put up sells.
Not the kind of investors we need.
