According to NIST and ECRYPT II, the cryptographic algorithms used in Bitcoin are expected to be strong until at least 2030. (After that, it will not be too difficult to transition to different algorithms.)

Quick question everyone, I read AltCoinHerald's article which shows that there is a 7 Day PoW period, at which point I'm guessing FreshCoin switches to PoS, however the OP states that FreshCoin is purely PoW? So is FRESH, PoW/PoS or just PoW?

EDIT : I see that FRESH is at block 13 196 now, and after block 10 001 there will around 4 Million FRESH distributed over 10 months, and after all the coins are mined, PoW will still remain albeit for transaction fees. Is that correct?

It's Slingshield not POS, just read the OP to see what's going on.

Probably because the miners weren't optimized when it first appeared but since it is optimized, so it uses the GPU to it's full potential.

I think dev underestimated the power of not posting everyday. Most here have short attention spans and are used to being abandoned. Sad

On the other hand, some of us are having a field day.  Cheesy

Only 5.5 mil coins out there... some of you are absolutely insane lol

He's probably been really busy with freshOnline for the last couple of days, it takes DKC 2 month before people realize its value, I don't see why this coin couldn't be as successful as DKC or XC. Lets' go fresh
