Really? What posts.. I'd like to see them myself so I can respond to any issues.
He probably meant that weird 10+ GH/sec user with only 10 cards whose shares were confirmed by you as "valid". Someone else later in this topic said something like "hashharder didn't fix their stratum yet", probably referring to that strange case.. May no be fake share (whatever it is), sometimes the hashrate is just wrong... While bitblock was cpu only, I was running with my gpu cards and was getting around 30%~50% share, my hasrate was around 4MHash/s however hashharder was displaying things like 15MHash/s (and sometimes more, sometimes less...) So your 10Gh could also be a lot less... Indeed, the hashrate calculations could still be way off. As I dont have mining equipment I don't mine the coins, (unlike some pool ops who can mine on their own pools) - ultimately meaning I require other people to give me their figures when a new algorithm comes out. If anyone wants to PM me with what their actual hashrate as opposed to reported is so I can work out the calculations. Ultimately, the hashrate values on any pool are at best rough guesses - as they are worked out from the amount (and difficulty) of valid shares that are submitted over a certain period of time (usually 5 minutes or so) - and therefore can fluctuate wildly, or be inaccurate if the share difficulty values are different (as in this case, and as was the case for X15 coins initially etc). The shares values and hashrate indeed however as equal for everyone. So if your hashrate is showing 10x as much, so is everyone elses. So it always works out evenly.

I had that same problem when i was using a Satellite internet connection (Hughes Net). I was able to finally get DSL out here in the mountains, resolving the latency problem. You may have to switch to a cellular modem if you are using satellite. Your connection shows connection to 127.0.0.1 That would be a network connection to a subnet, not an Internet connection. Are you on a VPN or internal (work) network? I use cellular modem (ADSL) bridge modem "localhost is :127.0.0.1" Internet Speed Test :1,20 Mo/s ![](https://ip.bitcointalk.org/?u=http%3A%2F%2Fwww.speedtest.net%2Fresult%2F3612222018.png&t=663&c=HvB5dsOg07CGZg) "127.0.0.1" or "localhost"always work well for all crypto I mine solo have you heard of "dispatch" ? url: http://www.connectify.me/dispatch/basically you can combine a bunch of wifi connections and share bandwith (use all your dumb neighbors who have OPEN or WEP and get like 100mbit/upload!! LOL) dispatch is badass, i use several of my neighbors and my cell network to form a nice fat pipe. just make sure you torrent the older version, new one dont work

We have an IRC channel on freenode? I'd love to have a chatroom for discussing FRESH.

I bet they are on a fork. The pool hash rate and the net hashrate are identical and 15 times higher than the other pools you better switch to another pool for the time being

(mongolia) the fix is simple.... reboot or reconnect to the p2pool, and check if you are on the right blockchain

there is so much hashpower coming from "other than the pools on OP" that forks are very likely. It looks like the OP pools have only about 20-25%of the hash........ so forks are gonna be frequent
Network is 35 gigs.... pools together hardly make 8 gigs. The megahashers rule

What do solo miners have to do to avoid/fix forks? Or is this a pool only issue?

What do solo miners have to do to avoid/fix forks? Or is this a pool only issue? put in your addnode, the address of a pool on the right fork (to be honest, I don't think there are forks at the moment, if a pool with a small hashrate doesn't find block, it is just luck... actually if they were on their on own, they would found a lots of block... Funny nobody has accused yet asic/fpga to be responsible ![Grin](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/grin.gif)
