Will there be any coupons available to customers who purchase S3?

Also, are all the S2 coupons expired? I would like to know if I'm wasting my time trying to find them when I should just place order. Thank you.

It would be nice if the order system were smart enough to see there is a transaction pending and not expire. Then only mark fully paid once 6 transactions hit.

Exactly. I sent my BTC <10mins after i placed the order and only got 3 confirmations before the hour ran out and they cancelled my order.. Why only make it an hour if not everyone can get the confirmations in that time period? Seems like it would be better to make the payment time longer to allow for confirmations or something. Meh, im grumpy because i woke up early and now its looking like i miss out anyways.  Undecided

Don't worry, they will manually approve your order. It's not actually cancelled. It's happened to me and probably happens a lot.

I'm sure Bitmain has no interest in refunding your Bitcoin. They will do everything possible to ship your order if you paid.

I don't blame you. If I hadn't already ordered from them before with good experience I'd have worried as well.

How can you defend the price of BTC 0.75 ?

I used https://bitcoinwisdom.com/bitcoin/calculator and it was impossible to reach ROI.

Because they are selling like life preservers on the titanic that's how.

You're welcome. For future orders you may want to try a better wallet. http://Electrum.org confirms very fast and adding a little extra transaction fee helps speed confirmations even more.

If it's taking too long to get confirmations on your payments then it's probably because you haven't added a miner's fee... which is quite ironic... to say the least...

I know, people are ordering $930 worth and do not include a 6-7c miners fee...

I paid the transaction fee, well Coinbase did, but it still took several hours for it to show paid on Bitmain's website.

And it's not only the price, it's the idea of miners, buying mining gear and not paying the miner's fee on the transaction... kinda counterproductive  Huh

I'm not sure that's entirely it.  I'm speculating that lots of miners aren't mining .00001 miners fees still, and many services like coinbase are using that tx fee amount.  That would seem that it would make POS sales a real pain in the ass.

Paid, unshipped and expired. Hopefully this will be fixed soon. My transaction had 5+ confirmations when the order expired.

I guess im a retard, I thought it automatically charged transaction fees depending on the size of the transaction, hence why it was 1.51 instead of 1.5.. I'd be more than willing to give more back to the community if someone would tell me how to address this in Multibit... I did a search but didn't find anything so i might switch wallets.

Bitmain,

Any chance of getting some pics of the business end of an S3?  I would like to see the connectors, etc. so I am ready to plug in when they start shipping.

You guys are just kidding about the July 10 (if not later) date right?  You are really planning to box em up and ship on the 5th or 6th RIGHT?? lol

I'm having a hard time with this...

I certainly WANT to buy up a number of these...I even was ready to pull the trigger on another rack at my co-lo here for the hosting.

But running the numbers I'm having 0 luck making it make sense...
I'm seeing positive returns die after 4 months, with maybe 60-70% of the initial cost being recouped (after electricity costs) before they would need to be shut down. Even if I ran them at home with a slightly lower hosting cost it's a no-go.

Is anyone able to pull together numbers that make sense? Or are we rushing to buy these because we want new toys?

And remember...the argument of buying them in the hopes of BTC skyrocketing just means you may as well spend your money on more coins, or holding the ones you have...
