Duke, thanks for the update. Can you please post the instructions for the swap for completeness and can you comment on how the swap procedure looks in terms of safety for both ends. Is there any escrow involved?
@uki, are you swapping yourself? I don't want to influence anybody's decision. Myself, I thought I would give it a try. I can tell that I swapped most of my coins and everything went smoothly! Once the sand got out of the gears on the chain :-) -dvd Yep Maybe smoothly was not the right wording But you did your part immediately after the transactions were confirmed.

I dont have many for the swap, so I am going to keep mine as a souvenir - the first ever pre mined coin.

I dont have many for the swap, so I am going to keep mine as a souvenir - the first ever pre mined coin. Then you should TOTALLY download the 2GIVE wallet and compete for block rewards -- since they will likely be worth more than your converted PMP http://2Give.Info/#download-dvd

You might get a substantial percentage of the coins.

I had not really given it much thought since I was planning on shutting down all our PMP infra after we concluded the swap -- the only thing I could see maybe doing is combining all the PMP we have received into a single address. Not sure what benefit (either way) there would be from disclosure -- as I understand it, your dev's hold most of it today anyway... -dvd

I'd like to swap but need to sync first
You should be able to launch with -nosynccheckpoints I had to kill and restart a few times to get fully sync'd You could addnode in our seeds at: "blocks" : 123960, "ip" : "192.169.7.65", "ip" : "84.200.19.79", We're showing 7 connections on each of these nodes at the moment

Try adding the SNF seed nodes listed above. We understand that it's hard to move PMP due to the nature of the chain -- so we'll honor the swap for at least another week and see how it goes.. -dvd

So it appears that you cannot disable staking on the PMP wallet -- that's super annoying and likely one of the reasons no exchange wanted to host it for very long
Not only does it require additional support for accounting -- I can now see that PMP would likely put an exchange at risk for not being able to fulfill an order to withdraw.
Terrible design IMHO...
I MIGHT be willing to fork / modify the PMP wallet to add a "mint=0" option to command line / config file and/or a "getmint/setmint" pair to the RPC protocol for anyone who wants to keep their coins from staking in order to get them transferred to SNF for SWAP to 2GIVE.
Need to know if it's worth my time -- who here would use something like this?

Hold on, I don't see where is the problem. In order to stake you have to unlock the wallet, otherwise it won't stake. You can keep your wallet open without staking just to stay in sync. No need to modify that.

Once the sand got out of the gears on the chain :-) SERIOUSLY guys...I don't know why all the PMP <3 here -- this chain doesn't treat you with the same kind of respect that you're giving it :p QUICK UPDATE! 2GIVE is now listed on YOBit.net - https://yobit.net/en/trade/2GIVE/BTCWe didn't even have to ask them, they just fired it up! I've submitted a request to Poloniex as well... -dvd The biggest problem with any pure PoS coin, PMP included, is that you need to have people with their wallets staking. the more confirmations are required to get the PoS block (in case of PMP it is 50, so a bit too much) the more people, or blocks within one wallet, have to stake in order to be able to generate a full loop of 50 confirmations. If we loose one wallet, the whole process stalls as we cannot get to 50.

Nullu (our main dev) is the one who holds the keys. As he disappeared some (long) time ago, these coins are in limbo.

Everyone who acquires and holds 2GIVE is a fellow stakeholder in my eyes -- be it one 2GIVE or many! We're all "refugees" when you think about it? One of the things that I've heard said about the USA in particular is that, "while we do not share a common history -- we do share a common future." I feel the same way about 2GIVE -- it doesn't matter how you got here -- what matters more is that you're here now and holding something for the future (staking) Your POS rewards help us all -- which is why I do not consider POS a selfish act at all. Looking forward to having you join us! -dvd

If we loose one wallet, the whole process stalls as we cannot get to 50.
Totally get that -- and if you do a root cause analysis on that (the old 5 Why's) -- you'd see that in order to encourage people to leave their wallets running and staking is because they believe that they will have some future ability to exchange it. Running a wallet to make more of something that doesn't have much value isn't very satisfying... I know I'm preaching to the choir here on this, and you have my pledge to keep our seed wallet online and staking for as long as it takes to get every last PMP holder who wants to willing join the 2GIVE community over the wall! -dvd
