Hey! Welcome! I will respond -- the PMP network has dropped to just 2-3 connections so I'm not sure how viable it's going to be for much longer -dvd hi duke

We've had to employ using the private keys to have our wallet import / rescan to find the coins in the last couple of swaps If you PM me your private key I can importprivkey and then confirm the balance... It's not the preferred method of course, but it's our last line of defense in a chain that won't produce blocks. I won't even go into the hot mess that CAPTcoin was in terms of just sycning the chain -- so horrible... -dvd

Your best bet is to set a password to prevent the wallet from staking. This issue is why I added: mint=0 to the configfile setmint false to the command line / console and a checkbox to the user interface so that it was wholly opt in. In fact -- this is exactly how SNF's primary GiveCoin wallets are online but not staking -- so long as the main chain is producing enough POS blocks we're keeping the inflation rate low, staking only in our donation wallet at the moment. -dvd

The only way to swap now has been via PRIVATE_KEYS, we just did one more today.
We're down to just 2 active peers one our swap wallet and 1 of them is ours - LOL
I'll keep the wallet online until the end of the month, otherwise it goes dark.
THANK YOU TO EVERYONE OF YOU who agreed to join 2GIVE.
Some of you moved coins to the exchange right away but most of you are holding and staking!
A mobile wallet is forthcoming, now that "breadwallet" is available on both IOS and Android.

We could consider keeping this project alive if there is any interest and the developers allow. How far gone is it? Are there still nodes up and running? Our solution is here https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=1585939.0

Other coins have tried assimilating dead coins ... 2GIVE already assimilated some people here We have trialed it before and know some of the difficulties of doing that From what I read, the exchange was done by 2GIVE in a bit of a difficult way as it relied on a user to do the exchange, where we would automate it, just like an exchange in real time, but closed off to only these dying coins. We would be setting up nodes to get the network back online and after that, we would hope that the coin in question has a loyal enough following that it can start mining again. At some stage, it will be healthy enough to go it alone and by then, we would have promoted our coin and also helped revive another coin in the process, so dont assume we dont get anything out of it.

Sounds a bit messed up from the start. I thought this was a fork of PMC, so not sure where 2GIVE is positioned in all this.
I maybe wrong, but from what I read, PMC had all good intentions, but was unable to make it work.
FYI, Rimbit is all premined and back in 2014, we looked at how distribution would be managed without the mining aspect, but we ruled out giving it away, very early on, as it then carries zero value from the start.

The concept of premineplus was pioneering. The first swap of a cryptocurrency of which I have proof preminecoin to premineplus I think some developer can take it back This coin deserves it and in a group that I built a lot of years ago, people keep contacting me, showing interest https://github.com/themightyx/premineplus

The concept of premineplus was pioneering. The first swap of a cryptocurrency of which I have proof preminecoin to premineplus I think some developer can take it back This coin deserves it and in a group that I built a lot of years ago, people keep contacting me, showing interest https://github.com/themightyx/premineplusNXT already exists(ed) is a 100% premined coin and bigger userbase and support. So this idea already happened. But it was initially distributed by a ICO (capped IPO, developer didnt allowed people to spend tons of btc, because the point of it according to him was just to spread ALL the coin using some method, not sell coins for money) When talking about distributing coins in a fair way, there is clam coin where you get 4.6 clam coin if you had a wallet with more than 0, btc, ltc and doge Y weeks before it was launched (to make sure you know the devs didnt created tons of accounts). The problem is that each block, there is a reward of 1 coins and this reward will always exist so you get 21.73% of how much someone has at the start it block, thats alot of money it makes you 1.26 times richer than a normal person with initial coins with just one block. So talking about fair distribution (if you exclude clamcoin extra 1 coin per block), premined coin is also not a pioneer. Monetary inflation (printing more money) sucks (to everyone involved with crypto) so premined coins (where you must still mine and get transaction fees, not ripple bullshit where the owners own most of coins and they distribute as they see fit, so like the state they can print money [up to a limit, but still print money]) is a must. Anyway, premining is just the way crypto should be.
