ı have some nav coıns in poloniex. should ı move them to my wallet too if you want to stake and get your 5% I would plus when you find a block you get to vote on segwit. ı dıdnt understand what you mean %5. ıf ı put my coıns from polo to wallet wıll ı get %5 for that process? "Yes" you get 5%... You have to know some simple crypto things: "NAV" is a proof-of-stake currency... called PoS. "Bitcoin" is proof-of-work... PoW. So with NAV you will get 5% per annum from your total coins if you stake with your open wallet and support the network. http://navcoin.org/about-nav-coin/Earn While You Sleep Since Nav Coin uses Proof of Stake, you can earn up to 5% interest on your investment simply by having your wallet in staking mode.
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Proof-of-stake 5% is healthy and also a good rate for holders imho. ty for ınfo. and another questıon. ı downloaded nav wallet and setup ıt but ı cant fınd any prıvate key ın that wallet. or 12 word thıng. where ıs ıt ın nav wallet ? ty Are you familiar with it? Just look into debugwindow at console... type help for all commands... it is dumpprivkey "navcoinaddress". Send all NAV to one adress before. Clear your clipboard/history after. ım not famılıar wıth ıt. and ı couldnt get any prıvate key. now ı have ın that wallet nac coıns. but ı d k what wıll ı do for example ıf ı reset my computer. can you explaın step by step. or any guıde for that. ty i cant help you with that, i think you get your answer much faster at : http://forum.navcoin.org/index.php?/forum/18-technical-supportwer much faster ty. at last ı dıd ıt. last questıon. how pos workıng ? should ı open wallet allways. ı mean any tıme lımıt for reward? or how does ıt work yes you have to let you wallet open an click on staking. then you will earn your navs and you are able to vote for segwit. or you re buying a nav pi stakebox. then you didnt need to let your wallet open. ... lets have a good nav weekend...

Where exactly can i get infos about nav staking mode?
Is it "easy"? Do i get 5% a day? Does the wallet/staking mode need a lot of electricity? How long do i have to be in staking mode?
I need answers to those questions pls.

Hi, It's very ''easy'' 5% per year! (5% a day would be a Ponzi!) The wallet consumes what your computer consumes normally. You need to have it 24/7 though. NAV also has an image for Raspberry Pi for very low power consumption. The coins take 2 hours to mature. But also there's a luck factor. If you have less than 10k it might take you a couple of days to start. But always will give you a return of 5% in a lapse of 365 days. You can follow this tutorial to set your wallet up: https://navtechservers.com/tutorials/full-node/

Nav: 5% staking reward per year. Very easy, just open Navcore wallet and unlock for staking. Even if you have not staked for a while the block rewards will catch up if open. Most efficient way to stake is Raspberry PI set up. I have a pretty good PC set up and electricity use or program lag is not an issue at all. You can check your wallet status under the rich list and extraction tabs here: https://chainz.cryptoid.info/nav/ *We have numerous resources to help if needed. Our community is very helpful even if still small for now, some of the best and brightest in our business! Additional resources for your use: http://navcoin.org/ https://www.worldcoinindex.com/coin/navcoin http://store.navcoin.org/Big developments coming up very soon. Stay tuned!

When it hits 100% thats means we locked in 75% of the blocks
Indeed. When 100% is reached that means 15120 out of the last 20160 blocks were voted yes. It is a little confusing perhaps, but you should just focus on the 15120 necessary blocks. It's 95% currently and is equal to 1916 out of 2016. At this time 1404 blocks are needed to lock-in segwit and only four days are left till the end of the activation period. It's still hugely political and dependent upon pools with majority hashrate and their owners that try to tune everything up in accordance with their positions in financial markets.

Thanks for all (and fast) answers! So, I checked all links and have a good feeling here. Seems like, its just a matter of (short) time for Segwit!? What are your predictions about the value?

The periods are weekly in which at least 15120 blocks out of 20160 blocks have to be voted yes. The first days of this period started a little slow, that is why we are not on the 15120 yes votes. This was because people had to update their wallet to version 4.0.2.1 and this took about 1 - 1,5 day for most people to upgrade. However, currently around 90% of the votes are yes votes. So the next period the 15120 yes votes should be reached easily. This could change if people start voting no of course. The percentage you see on http://navcoin.org/segwit is the % of 15120 reached. So once that percentage hits 100%, 15120 yes votes are done. NAV Coin has a 30 second block time, so a vote is cast every 30 seconds. Total time of voting period(20160blocks) : (20160*30seconds)/60 /60 /24= 7 days The current period is from 1008000 to 1028160. This means around 2000 blocks are left in this period. Even with a 100% yes vote that will not get us to 15120 yes votes. Next period will be from block 1028160 to block 1048320. Let us get the 15120 yes votes in the next period and lock in SegWit. For more info and why you should vote yes (or no), visit https://navtechservers.com/guides/segwit/.

SW don't be activated in current period, because only ~1900 blocks remain and ~3800 "positive" blocks needed, but it easily can be achieved in next period if nothing changes in positive vote progressing.

Thanks for your elaborate explanation, I was a bit confused by some people talking about locking in segwit during this period. Next period should be possible then!
