sorry, but do you really think 4000$ is a lot of money and you really think they should put their efforts in marketing!? With what, 200$? I appreciate your effort, honestly, the twitter, web page, everything, but without marketing and some money spent it's all in vain. I've put far more in NAV than 4000$, and first bought NAV from their homepage not from changelly or some other exchange, when you could still do that, it was a fixed price, "regardless of the price" on exchanges, remember that time? I honestly think it's the best coin out there, but if something doesn't happen quickly NAV will loose it's momentum which would be very bad. I'm not a day trader for 10% reward, but believe in NAV, without us and only day traders NAV would be gone long time ago. How many coins does the NAV team hold if 4000$ or 40.000$ could present a problem? I understand they spent much more than this, but again loose your momentum and it's all gone, not just 4K or 40K or 400K or... Of course they invested lots of time and their own money, but that's all in vain without us, the community that is willing to buy their coin, spread the word here, on twitter, facebook, etc. ( just like you do) and I agree, MARKETING. Also IMHO this is a really missed opportunity, qoute from NAV homepage; " The NavPi boards have finally arrived, so we have all the parts we need to start to put this product together for sale. We will be training Guy on how to assemble the units, flash the SD cards with the NavPi image, test and prepare these for shipping. With Craig going to Europe for two weeks, we may not get the training completed until he gets back, but we are looking at opening pre-orders for the device on the store before then." Cmon guys, get two 15 year old nerds, they don't need training and you've got other more important things to do. Make 50 of navpi's preloaded with symbolic amount of coins and send them out to tech/crypto sites. But that's just like my opinion How this project is funded? Regards.
It's funded by us, investors, unlike some other coins/tokens where somebody took a lot of money in and it will.....you'll see... uh.... It's funded by the devs and a small part by community. By far most is just out of devs, I believe Craig mostly, pockets. The community could step up with creating projects and help funding them. The development team is looking into options for external funding to improve development speed and marketing. 50 Pi's to send out? That's at least 4000$ in raw material costs. Who is going to pay for that? Yes of course all the investments are appreciated, but do nothing to really help the project. It's easy to think that your investment helps development. It's just your money in there and you hope for it to become more. The community hasn't really impressed me with what they have done so far. Of course nice things have been done but the most of work is done by the official team. Lots of promises by community but very few things actually are done in the end.

Offering my less than $0.02, but believe many of you will understand.
1. Marketing: Expanding interest to many new investors. This would include Facebook, but not be limited to one platform. Utilizing online resources such as (bitcoin news, cointelegraph, ccn, etc..) *Segwit activation could have used much more publicity in many additional media outlets. Get in front of industries that are searching for answers, innovations and solutions! 2. Expansion: The ability to assist marketing with a small team of representatives focused on directly contacting banks, insurance and healthcare providers that are searching for answers to the blockchain hype, benefits and direct impact on their industries. Visa has just announce their plan to hire blockchain experts with knowledge of either ETH or Ripple. The team from Nav would see this event as an opportunity to challenge these formats along with spreading adaption to expanding markets such as Asia, Europe, etc.. An opportunity missed is an opportunity lost.
3. Nav direct: Utilizing the old format of purchasing Nav through the Nav store would drive traffic to the site and could also provide a more central approach to purchasing Nav other than BTC. Current fees are just to high at Changelly. Understandably a direct purchase format would require a higher fee, but could just be more REASONABLE? Sparking interest to make direct purchases vs. going through the exchanges. LTC and ETH have seen great gains due to Coinbase listings that include a much smaller fee than does Changelly. This in combination with the Nav PI sales that will include a mark up for profit would help drive traffic to the store which is being under utilized and help cover the cost of PI distribution as well as managing costs of the store. Higher fees do not help provide the volume and stability needed to make the store profitable in the long run. *The old saying is if your not growing, your dying. Revamp the store site to make it more appealing...
4. Limit wallet upgrades: Yes this has to be done, but do not take lightly how many novice investors are out there. You have all seen the posts from so many people struggling with operating a wallet. This creates too many negatives for Nav and small investors are a big part of the community. Ease of use and smooth operation will help those struggling. I really miss the direct tab to bittrex pricing from the 3.7 wallet, but hopefully a future wallet will include this along with Poloniex and a support tab taking those with issues directly to the slack channel for help.
Take a small poll to see what crypto investors believed as follows: A) Top anonymous crypto: 1) NAV 2) Dash 3) Monero 4) Name it... B) Fastest transaction time: 1) NAV 2) Dash 3) Bitcoin 4) Name it...
Where do you think Nav would rank. Price of the market is a vote of confidence from investors so this must not be ignored.
To summarize my humble opinion, we are focused on the tech side, but are missing the boat in many ways when it comes to brand recognition. I have been along for the ride for a very long time so my purchases of Nav for $ 0.05 and much less have done well. This is not a criticism so please do not interpret my post as negative. I am also involved in several other projects and would love to see Nav gain massive support from every investor. Sometimes you have to beat the hornets nest to get a reaction. Teams often over hype a few projects to get the support started, but experience has taught me that is not enough. Sustainability is the key which comes from tech advancements.
Sorry, I got up a few hours early and had time to kill. Best of luck everyone and keep supporting NAV.

I agree, great product, that missed many boats that it shouldn't. I still believe it's the best crypto out there and it will have great future with more/better marketing. Hype needs to be created.

Hello, I am sorry for you. However this raises a lot of questions. Where did it get stolen from? Any clue how it got stolen? What wallet were you using? Did someone have access to your device? What can NAV do about it?

Horrible that happened to you. I cannot imagine there to be a problem with the wallet though. - Is your wallet encrypted and locked?
- Did you extract your private keys and save them somewhere? If yes, did you encrypt/protect that?
Does anyone have access to your PC?- Did you scan your PC for malware etc?
Somehow someone got access to either your private keys or wallet(.dat) and password. Man.. It really sucks, glad they somehow didn't get access to all your crypto!

So I assume you had your wallet unlocked for staking and not for sending in this case... I cannot think of something else. The wallet does not send the funds away itsself. Hope you can find the way it happened. Edit: Looks like it went to address: NSJstpEssfiHZUvUXBMYACzRw1cwtzH1HBLooks like it was send in anon transaction from your wallet and then through a few wallets to an exchange.

26 July 2017, wallet hacked? 01.33h, anon transaction to NiEqGxJd3MayYybGQVFZxfPJzW9LEfmDsk01.56h, normal transaction to NZ2DNnbocjuy2o12ZzJbGC4nmRA1A8MB8G02.01h, normal transaction, to NSJstpEssfiHZUvUXBMYACzRw1cwtzH1HB (Exchange, Bittrex my guess) Around 02.00 a big sell order is placed on Bittrex, around 180.000 NAV. My best guess is to contact Bittrex, give them details. They might be able to give more info about the hacker?.
