Enough preparation? I think we shouldn't worry: https://www.navcore.org/roadmap/ Enough to prepare! And please don't forget Valence: https://valenceplatform.org/But NAV Coin grew very impressive if you look back longterm and the road(map) is long, so i guess we can welcome many more navigators on board. Strong hands and strong minds we need, of course... But it's not only about to the moon or somewhere, no, it's also to support, share and care of a vision! Terms like "decentralization, transparency, simplicity, trust, safety, open source, energy efficiency" stand for NAV Coin and it's vision! The team and community delivered a lot to prove this and will continue, so i think we can be happy about 2018 and beyond... ! btw: https://chainz.cryptoid.info/nav/#!network People should update to 4.1.1. ! There was a hard fork some time ago... thank you! Cheers

What happens if I stake two same wallets (share the same wallet.dat) on two different machines at the same time?

I've done it in the past. Not a good idea. Nothing bad happens but the balances get out of sync somehow after a while and you need to "fix wallet" to make them accurate again. If only one of them stakes and the other is read only I think there is no problem. You don't stake faster anyway with 2 machines

Brand Bible & New MerchantsThe great thing about decentralized community projects like this is that freedom of the individual is paramount. No one can tell you what NavCoin is or isn't, it is what you make it. This week there have been so many great contributions from all around the world where people are starting to put this empowering idea into practice. Read more here.

Community News: New places to pay, tech updates and NavCoin brand bible.
I have indeed been working on a NavCoin TV Box. It has taken some R&D to get to where I am. Have tried boxes with 1GB of memory, they are fine but think something better is warranted. Have tried 2GB memory boxes and they are fine as well but have had some where the memory is faked. Have my first box with 3GB of memory and an S912 (8 core processor) and not happy with the WIFI chip as it is fairly incompatible, so initially at least, the box will run Linux via ethernet and not WIFI. The plan is to find a working USB WIFI dongle or eventually have an image with operational WIFI.
There are also plans for an experimental NavCoin TV Stick. It will also be a an S912 device and will have 2GB of memory. It is experimental as these are quite temperamental from all reports as they run hot at 80 degrees C which causes issue with the WIFI and stability. It is very cool but not for prime time and will not be encouraged except for people who know the risks and want to experiment. Have some heatsinks coming that might allow them to be modified to run cooler and from all reports will fit inside the case. Do not have a device yet so just going off what I have read.
The will be an economical version at some stage using a S905x with 2GB memory and working WIFI as long as a reliable source can be found for these. These will likely be close to half the price of the S912 version.
The box will be loaded with a fast Micro SD Card or USB drive. I am currently determining if it is best to run NavPI from a docker image or directly. The system will run Ubuntu 16.04 probably desktop as it becomes quite a functional Linux box. Removing the SD Card or USB drive will revert the system to its original Android OS that will not be harmed in creating a NavCoin TV box/Stick so they should have a purpose or resale value other than NavCoin staking.
It is probably a month or two before it has been burned in adequately to put them out into the wild. It is mostly about configuration and finding the best box to go with now. It is still in R&D but the concept has been proven.
I have my test 2 gig box loading the blockchain from the beginning. It has crashed once which I am ok with at this stage as it was low on memory and has so far loaded the blockchain from the beginning to block 2027207 and it will complete very soon which I am very happy about.

Most important news over there are the Poliambulatorio accepting NAV and those guys in Germany accepting NAV as well because the most important thing right now (well not for NAV only but for crypto in general) is mainstream adoption

Arm mate for someone to launch a double spend attack they gotta to have a ton of coins a big portion of the pie of the network , none of the members of the foundation nor the developer has such amount of coins so it was a whale that might have initiated this.

I will explain to them step by step and explain to them slowly because I know if they will understand everything they will become more interested about this.
