Oh god.

Guys.

Bob is fudding in xst's name on Monero.

Unfortunately until Batman is doing this:

http://itsalmo.st/#timetokillxmr

I didn't want to talk about it, but here is my home and I'm not going in anyone's thread to bother.  Wink

That is awesome. A countdown till the death of Monero. LOLz

Unfortunate really, every coins death whether scam or bug leaves a little stink on crypto.  Money lost that will never be recirculated.  A chunk of the market just gone.

I can't believe how childish this community reacted to monero's situation. Something similar can happen to any coin out there, even xst!

This is funny, but completely inaccurate.

There is nothing wrong with XMR, technically. The claims that have everyone worried are complete bullshit because the claims make absolutely no cryptographic sense.

Let me say (1) I don't own any XMR and (2) I own enough XST that if it were to replace XMR as "the coin of cryptographic anonymity" I would be this guy:

Yup. Any coin can get trolled. XMR got trollolololoed, though, so it's pretty bad.

I can't beleive it!  This was my first alt coin investment and it seems be doing really well.  Poloniex adding will bring some more buyers and should push this coin to 15k range.  To the moon!

How are stealth coins transactions anonymous? I couldn't find any information about this feature on the original post.

Thanks.

Anyone remember this cool post?

It's been quite an amazing past few weeks!  Thank you again to all of our supporters who have been providing great advice, spreading the word about StealthCoin and even building new services.  This is all great to see and helps strengthen our awesome community!

Being added to MintPal v2 tomorrow just goes to show you the community at large is starting to see great potential in the future of Stealth.  Hopefully this addition will attract a whole slew of new faces who can help take StealthCoin, StealthText and StealthSend to the masses.

Brief development update...
Hondo and our security expert are continuing to work on Chandran Signature implementation for StealthSend.  As you can imagine, a significant amount of time goes into researching each line of code.  At this point we do not foresee any issues and fully expect to deliver mid-November as indicated in the roadmap.

While Hondo is focusing strictly on StealthSend, the rest of the team is continuing to push forward on ancillary products for StealthCoin.  At the top of our list right now is a web based wallet that can be used in conjunction with StealthText.  This hasn't been one of our publicized roadmap items up to this point but we hope to have this delivered around the same time as the Qt updates in mid-October.

Thank you all again for your support and we hope you look forward to these new releases as much as we do!  More updates to come soon!

-Stealth Dev Team

I do remember this sick post. Thanks for reminding all of us.

I thought this coin already had Chandran ring signatures in place, I guess I fell for the false advertisement by CluelessBob and Bitcad4u in the monero thread.

I also heard that Chandran ring signatures are significantly larger than the already large ring signatures used by cryptonotes with typical real world mixin values of 3-10, is it true?

Thanks.

It's not yet afaict, they estimate that it will take them two months to implement ring signatures.
Btw, I thought it was very hard to implement rings in a bitcoin clone?

Essential Update: Logfile Bloat Fix - Version 1.2.0.2

Thanks to BTCwriter for bringing to our attention a logfile bloating issue. This issue affected only those wallets with staking coins.

All new wallets and daemons follow. The new version is 1.2.0.2, which corrects this issue.

Links to the new wallets are below. The OP and website will be updated tomorrow. An in-wallet alert to update will be issued far all old clients as well.
