We've got probably 50-odd boards coming this way for hosting customers. If it's mostly a matter of swapping micros on an already-populated board, heck send 'em on and send the parts we'll do it here at the shop. Two days they'll probably all be up and running.

Cool, quiet and up to 1TH pod miner, on sale now!
Currently in development - 200+GH USB stick; 6TH volt-adjustable S1/3/5 upgrade kit
Server PSU interface boards and cables. USB and small-scale miners. Hardware hosting, advice and odd-jobs. Supporting the home miner community since 2013 - http://www.gekkoscience.com

Someone that has the boards, can we get a close up of the microcontroller?

If it is something that I can replace I wouldn't mind doing it myself as sidehack.

Is there a diagnostic procedure for the HEX4M running on the TP-Link devices?

I have several HEX4M boards which are running around 4Gh and I was hoping there was a process for figuring out what is wrong with them.

I remounted the coolers with fresh paste and tried different settings but they still don't behave properly.

Thanks!

The controller is the modded TP LINK isn't it?

No, I was meaning the defective microcontrollers that are delaying the whole thing while marto tests them and swaps by hand the ones that doesn't work.

I can do it myself if they are not bga and perhaps if some of us can do the same marto will finish the others faster = everyone wins.

Thanks Vesi, but my question specifically asked where you are in the queue,  and how you were handling the queue.  Are you almost done with batch 1 orders?

I appreciate Marto's and technobit's intention to provide an open,  transparent process.  This question should be easy to answer.  Could you answer it please?

I was able to fix the issues with my boards.  Instead of just thermal paste I used:

Fujipoly / ModRight Ultra Extreme System Builder Thermal Pad Blister Pack - 1/2 Sheet - 200 x 150 x 0.5 - Thermal Conductivity 17.0 W/mK

I cut small squares of the thermal pad, cleaned the paste off the cooler and the chip, and applied the pad material.  This made a huge difference in the cooling ability of the fans.

Just an FYI if you are having issues...

Got my 2HEX4M miners today. Had a problem hooking them up with a mr3020. Cgminer kept saying it was unable to connect. Could be the powered hub I was using. The miners are fine however because I connected to a pc and they hash great. Thanks Marto for building a great miner and no screw job like blackarrow.
