I recently have been trying to find a way to help fund the use of Ketone Esters for treating Alzheimer's disease and other dementia related diseases. Supposedly the theory is that these diseases are related to a type of diabetes of the brain that they call type 3 diabetes. Ketones are a way to revitalize the brain cells. They can cross the blood brain barrier and they do not require insulin to deliver energy to the cells thus bypassing the insulin resistance of the cell and giving it the energy it needs to function. I found a product that has the necessary ketone beta-hydroxybutrate however it is very expensive. https://prototypenutrition.com/ketoforce.html#!prettyPhotoIf we could find a way to help make this product more affordable and give it the media coverage it deserves we could save many lives.

here is some info about the products creation http://patrickarnoldblog.com/instant-ketosis/

Wow, very interesting. It may be a very good idea for a future project. I will definitely look into it.
The funny coincidence is my grandfather was the first diabetologist and endocrinologist in Slovenia. Smiley

Thanks,

I was trying to get in contact with Patrick Arnold about the manufacturing costs of the product to see if there were any ways to decrease those costs and reduce the overall cost of the product making it more affordable. If It were half the price that it is now it would be more accessible to lower income families. That's the first step and then once successful a huge advertising campaign about the benefits of these types of ketones for dementia. I wanted to make sure the cart was behind the hoarse so to speak so production has to be increased first to ensure enough supply is available when we start advertising it and increase the demand. I have been following this research for about 4 years now and I would love to see it go mainstream. If we choose to fund this project I would be very grateful.

Here is some more research on ketones and dementia. Its a very interesting subject.
