Hey everybody,

I haven’t posted anything since Sunday, and that was shortly before my computer and network was attacked by someone.

Now, before I got attacked I have followed a very different, more interesting route on the puzzle than you guys.
Yeah I did. And I have discovered 3 more puzzles!!!
Yay! I love puzzles.
They were quite easy though, but none the less they were fun!

So, this is what I did:

The “shared starting point”
(You all knew I was focused on this)

Hint from OP:
0 = 0A = 10BABYA = 36WOW

So let’s break that down:

0 is the starting point
0A, which means the starting point, then becomes a capital A, I took the first capital A
10BABYA – Count the next 10 characters and you find a “baby” A or a
36WOW – If you look at the tiles over it there all there: 3, 6, w, o, w

But what does that mean?

I immediately thought of morse code.
So, starting top to bottom and left to right, using Green as dash and Red as dot, I have converted the lines that contain 3, 6, w, o, w and this is the result:

3
.. ... - --- .--. .         ISTOPE

6
.-.. .-- --. ---. -. -.       LWG!NN

lower w
-- --- .-. -.. ... -         MORDST

o
- .-- - . .-- - .--. -      TWTEWTPT

w
-- .- . ..-. -.. -- ...         MAEFDMS

Result is: I S T O P E L W G ! N N M O R D S T T W T E W T P T M A E F D M S

No key here either…
But obviously an anagram.

Original anagram: I S T O P E L W G ! N N M O R D S T T W T E W T P T M A E F D M S

My find: (copy-pasted from my original notes)

  S T     P          W        S    T E  T P T M     M  S T  P    T   T

DONT

FIND

MORE

EYE

MEETS

WOW!

SIGNAL

MORE MEETS EYE WOW! SIGNAL
More than meets the eye, and Wow! Signal
It made sense to me to check the only hint we haven’t used.
The Wow.jpg

Now it is obvious that the words for a 12 word Dark Wallet seed are in the marked area.
So now this clue makes perfect sense too.

I have tried various combinations but the winner was:

CHANNEL
NUMBER
TWO
VERTICALLY
WRITTEN
EASTERN
DECLIN.
DIGITS
6
6
5
7

The answer was basically the first six words, CHANNEL NUMBER (TWO DIGITS, WRITTEN VERTICALLY).

After submitting that seed I lost connection to the Dark Wallet Gateway and it wouldn’t allow me to reconnect.
And on my next browser refresh after posting this: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=661781.msg7703728#msg7703728
my computers and network was under attack.
By whom, I don’t know. But it has cost me a great deal of cash getting everything checked.

And then, when I manage to get back online the game has ended in a much different way than the one I have followed.
I don’t know which is the alternative ending, but I find my version more interesting and more suitable to the puzzle.

What do you guys think? Wink

Anyways, “I had a blast” (funny huh, after the attack) playing this game.
Hopefully there will be more soon.

PS 1: I can literally picture you "guys" on last Sunday, all sitting in the room, having a blast seeing the contestants being stuck for days,

AND THEN ALL OF THE SUDDEN!!!!!

Beep, Beep, Beep, Beep, Beep, Beep, Beep, Beep…….

It’s the alarm that someone has hit the pot!!!!

Oh God, I would love to see your faces when this happened!!!!

PS 2: To the one(s) that have attacked my computer and network, feel free to knock yourself out.
I am at an Internet Cafe so I don’t give a shit.
Besides, I am going home now.

Attacked how? DDoS? Perhaps it was...Cicada 3301, perhaps to see if you can thwart the attack and then they scout you? And how could this cause you damage? I can only assume your IP was known through some link you visited, but how was it associated with you?

How is it possible that your computer/network will be attacked by some external individual ? Do u broadcast your real IP ? In normal situation u should either be using DHCP or under some NAT box that would allocate a virtual IP for u.

Unfortunately, Dark Wallet blocks off proxies, the "TrollBox123".
Also, when I checked the forum it was from an unsecured computer.
That gave away my IP.
Changed now and I only use Internet Cafes.
Should anything happen, I don't get damaged Wink

That being said, both of you have participated in the ARG Puzzle.

Don't you find it weird that for days the OP said no more clues (basically you have everything) and you were ALL stuck,
and then suddently she appears with a shitstorm of clues?
And then, Game Over within a matter of a couple of hours....

So why was she torturing us?

Suggestion: U may also use public wi-fi.

Question: Do u mean they have kept the prize for themselves using sockpuppet ?

I do not mean nor suggest anything.
Use your own due dilligence Wink

You didn't answer my OP question: Which version do you find more suitable?

Btw did the Gatekeeper give the solution on how he got the key?
He got the money out so he/she can tell us now I suppose.

Gatekeeper owns over 1500btc, + the 3.5 he got as the prize. Coincidence?

What?

My statement was quite clear. He owns 1500btc(not from ARG games) yet he still won the 3.5btc prize. Didn't share either(as far as I know).

Remember when I said that the rich become richer? He's got nearly $1 million dollars, but he just had to get 3.5 btc more.

Don't believe me? Check out Gatekeeper's address https://blockchain.info/address/19ohKGMSHR7AsBc7rk4uiQrcZPiNqgM3dA

Oh, and BTW, do you notice any similarities in these ARG Puzzle OP updates?

OP posted

- 6EQUJ5

- No sha or hash needed

OP again , but nothing we don't already know

1) 0=0 A=10 a=36       -this part edited by me... Notice the BABYA & WOW missing after the 10 and 36?
2) 6EQUJ5
3) z69JZqlJn862D1ndx7oLVEMmVOlP1zewEeUCrsI7Roahzpeny7P

we know it's base64 code
OP said "No sha or hash needed"

would also indicate that the squigly lines we added in don't really have anything to do with it.

from OP

the prize awaits you
the final palindrome is key
once small is now tall

so change lowercase to uppercase?
only palindrome i can think of is WOW , is there any others?

Portrait is a "shared start point."

Public Address: 1HXUobwcB19cGDrghuh42HDdJdJvrJUEra

the prize awaits you

Wrong, he shared with four users x 0.1 BTC, I'm one of those:

Well, 0.4 BTC is more than 10% of 3.5 BTC he won (11.43%, to be exact). It's a fair share to those who helped him find the solution. I took a break for a dinner thinking about the solution, when I got back it was a game over. I had a feeling that if I haven't breaked for eating I may actually stumbled on it with those heavy amount of hints.

Which version do you find more suitable for the game you have played?

That's a good question, S4VV4S. I don't like at all the official solution, it's nonsense that you have to depend on hints to find it. It degrades the quality of the puzzle which was rather high until the final step. Randomly converting the letters to uppercase is simply brute-forcing, and one of the rules was not to brute-force. So it was very disappointing ending.

Your version has another advantage because it has something to do with Dark wallet, with the two guys on the picture being the Dark wallet founders.

TL;DR
Your ending is better.

There was a long period without hints at the end, because I didn't realize the error in the 51 character string from wow.jpg until what should have been the solution was posted. It had been triple checked, so I'm still confused as to how it happened - but it happened - and it's such a shame. It was impossible to know who the rightful winner would have been, so the only answer was to hint at the flaw so the solve could be made. We all would have preferred different outcomes, for various reasons.

@itod

So did you notice any similarities in the ARG Puzzle, OP's updates I posted above?

S4VV4S are you implying that I am Gatekeeper? No, the reality is I put all of my recent earnings from my art sales into that pot, and put my credibility as a member of this community on the line. S4VV4S I am incredibly insulted by your misguided claims, and I take great offense.

I learned a great deal from this experience. I look forward to being a player for another member's game.
