Hindsight is a wonderful thing, all 20/20 vision and perfect hue  Grin

I understand the situation, but given that MANY people were claiming missing blocks in the chain then I can appreciate WHY the exchange chose to act.

The FACT that these were POS blocks should have been communicated earlier, but no-one (even pool operators) stood up quick enough to verify that!

Faced with a blockchain that was in jeopardy, the exchange did the only logical thing.

My 2 cents worth - your opinion may vary  Smiley Smiley

We were not sure what was going on .. and will all that FUD spreaded, maybe this was really the best decision.

Everything should open up back as soon as Dev comes back.

Why didn't the dev figure out this? It's he's coin.. What is he smoking

Maybe he got FUDed and lost himself to FUD. He panic not smoking.

I was one of the folks concerned with the issues last night and am glad that C-Cex shut it down until they get it figured out.

Even though the latest opinions seem to believe that the "missing" blocks were POS, that was only part of the concern that led to the panic last night.

1) Missing blocks...
2) Difficulty seemingly out of line for pools combined hash rate...
3) Net hash at several instances more than three times the total of all three pools combined...
4) No dev communication about community concerns throughout the night.

Any single one of them alone could be construed as cause for concern. Add them all together and its like "the perfect storm".

A simple post from the devs could have prevented the panic meltdown completely.

As a Revo holder, I am still very much interested in an explanation from the dev team for numbers's 2-4...

4) No dev communication about community concerns throughout the night.

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Time_zone

At the minimum, C-Cex should suspend all RVC trading, like YESTERDAY!. Fork it. Track and dump farmed Blocks not distributed through pools... add replacements to POW. But DO SOMETHING ALREADY...

yeah, thanks for that advice. maybe in the future keep it to yourself.

Take it easy friend...Dev is not the one to blame...
Just give him the time to read through the posts and just relax a little...

Hi guys,

I apologise for any inconvenience caused. The missing blocks were indeed pos.

Since many people were complaining about the nethashrate and missing blocks i believed something shady was going on. I didn't realized pos blocks could be the "problem" atm.

We will contact c-cex and ask them to open the market again.

I don't see you in the OP.  If you are close to the project then tell the dev to get in here and fix this.  It's not hard.
