Truly Russian. Notice all the arrows in his quiver? But no bow or crossbow visible.  Smiley

3 pennies (0.03 RUB) coin, it was used on occupied territories of USSR during 1941-1942. Coat of Arms were replaced.

These coins were purposed to exchange for food. "ZM" means "Zonder Mittagessen".

Yes, it is. It is comics by Viktor Vasnetcov after famous ancient Russian anecdote.

A warrior guy, who fought many battles, want to exit his service, and find a peaceful life. He rides home, comes to crossroads, and there is a stone with a prophesy which says:

"You ride straight, you lose your life.
You ride left, you lose your horse.
You ride right, you get married."

He is thinking hard, which one is the least evil.

See? Even Russia had anti-gun people. They paint the guy without the "gun" (bow) showing. They could have painted him facing the other way. No wonder the Russian people lost to their leaders. They were talked into disarmament by paintings like this. It's happening more than ever these days.
