I believe in Bitcoin but I can't contribute to this project with reviewing or writing code, because I simply can't program.  
So I simply do what I can, and that is spreading the word, and because a picture says more than thousand words, I made some graphics.

You can use them freely for whatever you want, ofcourse if you use them or like them, a donation is always welcome (1MifMqtqqwMMAbb6zr8u6qEzWqq3CQeGUr)  

Because something that runs on Linux isn't fully complete without a fanmade Tux, I present to you the first Bitcoin Tux:

What does the symbology mean?   Why stars?  It isn't a national currency.  I think the design should highlight certain aspects of the system like 1 and 0s .

heh, the stars? to let it look like a coin? no real symbolic meaning in them.
But I like your idea of the 0's and 1's, could work, will give it a try later on.

Added another version of the coin, replaced the stars with 1 and 0's and I've used the B that's also in the standard logo.

There is nothing excellent in not being able to use a logo because of restrictive license...
So my question stands. Are these logotypes public domain or Creative Commons ?
