anyone know what are those files at the programfiles/lottoshares folder? i should keep there or delete?

angelshares.txt http://paste4btc.com/0Lr5OoxH
bitcoin.txt http://paste4btc.com/8UJ1RgNu
block5313.txt http://paste4btc.com/TLaalHXL
dogecoin.txt http://paste4btc.com/URStHapt
protoshares.txt http://paste4btc.com/ZBEi3qFb
memorycoin.txt http://paste4btc.com/ydAcjpKq
thirtypercent.txt http://paste4btc.com/hrluuKqt
thirtypercent2.txt http://paste4btc.com/DIPgYuZz

Keep them because your wallet won't work without them. They contain the snapshots of addresses containing coins at particular blockchain heights for angelshares, bitcoin, dogecoin, protoshares, memorycoin, and all the other coins that had a snapshot taken. The addresses are also written in the lottoshares blockchain but I think those text files are needed because of something to do with the fact the coins are vested. You can't spend them all at once, they become spendable at random times.

Someone tried deleting the text files but their wallet wouldn't work afterwards.
The block chain is the main innovation of Bitcoin. It is the first distributed timestamping system.

But seems only one of them is connecting. Hope you or anyone else can provide more peers.

There is an article about the new lottoshares bitshares asset that shows they have no intention of changing its name. They should use a different name to avoid confusion.

http://cointelegraph.com/news/115335/lottoshares-worlds-first-physical-lottery-on-the-blockchain

Their website doesn't look too professional with two identical "about" buttons in its title bar. Also, they haven't raised much investment money yet. They only have $816 out of the half a million dollars they want to raise.

Hopefully the lottoshares coin should be easy to tell apart from the bitshares asset because most exchanges sell assets in separate markets to coins, if they sell assets at all.

I don't believe exchanges will allow them to trade as LTS.

But the same full name lottoshares is still confusing people. If they scam, people will wonder if they are anything related to LTS. This is not good.

At least the author of article have advertised it:
It should also be noted that LottoShares lottery has nothing common, except the name, with the LottoShares (LTS) altcoin that was abandoned in 2014.

However the fact of use the same name is really a bad idea, Another example the nxt clon: the Liberty Reserved coin.

Liberty Reserved does look dodgy, but at least no-one seems to be falling for it.
The new LottoShares looks incredibly dodgy, and it's from the same team that brought you Banx....

Wow thks, A surprising and instructive history and evidence to everybody.

However I could ask: on #504 post on the #26 last page , Him mentioned something about @Runpaint-->  NXT based Barr.me project the idea of this project from my point of view is good but somewhat excessive, now comes the most important, Is it legitim? As does Nxt to avoid the same problems?  I have missing that part too, Or is just the fact of following blindly trusting on devs and promoters of the coins.

And @BARR_Official dev have declared on #510 post:BanxShares will not be eligible for BARR burn redemption, because of the significant percentage of premined funds held by developers. So this sounds a bit strange considering the purpose of Barr.me project, So in the best of cases the investors of Banxshares could be reimbursed but if this doesnot happens, Then what?   Barr.me project is unable and apart from that is not required to do so change barr for Banxshares so finally also it reflects that this will not be very effective with anothers coins or shares/tokens.

Maybe could be better move this discussion to barr thread what do you think?............

Best to talk to runpaint.....he's become a serious Nxt enthusiast over the last couple of months, and BARR is the result.
It's not the worlds most serious crypto project, but it is a good idea: clean up and consolidate all the shitcoins onto one blockchain.
Not sure how well it'll work, but runpaint is pretty dedicated, so it could be fun.

Best way to avoid problems; do your research, whether it's Nxt, BARR or Banx.
Scams are usually pretty easy to spot: just ask a critical question and see what the response is.
Just look at how Banx handled questions: complete denial, followed by lies and intimidation.
That told us everything about the project, for a few minutes work.

On Banx being allowed in BARR: again, ask RP, but I can see two problems: most of the BanxShares are held by Banx, and they don't seem to have any proper wallet software.
That is one problem with BARR, btw, while the idea is to give bagholders a way out, BARR could end up being exploited by the dodgy serial shitcoin devs that have left a trail of bagholders behind them.

Agree with your point. It is pretty easy to avoid exactly the same name. They just show that they are lacking of ideas about alternative good names.

I have a question:

Just have an old BTC wallet and want to get LTS from it. How can I claim the LTS?

The tutorial link on OP seems dead. Please help.

It's very simple:  Banx is 100% premined, and the devs still hold millions of premined coins.

So if we exchanged BanxShares for BARR, it would benefit the Banx devs more than actual crypto users.

Our purpose is not to encourage scammers or reward devs for premining their own coins.

The copycat lottoshares was cancelled according to one investor.

Any update on this, now that we are -3 days left?

I got an email from them a while back that said this project will no longer be proceeding. You can either invest in their other project or receive a refund by contacting their support team  Smiley

The copycat lottoshares.com website doesn't say its been cancelled, but it looks abandoned with a negative -25 days left until the end of the IPO. It says the IPO only raised $18,164.41 (3.62%) of the $500,000.00 goal.

The guy who started it locked the Banx Shares thread after saying he's had enough of this place, so I don't think he will post on bitcointalk anymore.

Bter going to remove LTS from trading and puts it into "delisting" state.

Any other working exchange to trade LTS?

We could pay to get it on Yobit or some other exchange. Yobit only charges 0.1 btc to list a coin within 2 business days. There must be plenty of other exchanges that let you pay to list a coin too. This is the Yobit link to their page where we could pay them, with the instructions and prices quoted underneath.

To add a new coin to Yobit please you need to fill out the form below.

Payment method: YobiCode
Listing type:
• Free - 0.00 btc - no guarantee
• Premium - 0.1 btc - 2 business day
• Exclusive - 0.5 btc - 1 business day + mail alert to all users
